Stayed here in January of 2012. Very reasonably priced small hotel, outside of the old city of Siena, run by a friendly family. Excellent room with private bath. Ample breakfast with many nice choices. Only negative is location on a busy street, but soundproof windows and quiet at night.

The Piccolo is unfortunately located on a main road which detracts from what is actually quite a nice hotel. The rooms are spacious & clean & nicely decorated. Our family enjoyed staying in this hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean. We felt very welcomed by the staff (thank you Cristina for sharing about G. Nannini). Breakfast was fantastic! If we find ourselves back in Siena, we'll be sure to stay here again!

Excellent service from everyone at this hotel. Very good breakfasts. The only slight negative is that (as others have said) it's a precarious walk from the hotel to the nearest bus stops - Take care.
