It's not just about the location, the building, the rooms, and the art...it's also about the people! Eric and Francesca were fantastic hosts, and both went out of their way to help with directions, dinner reservations, and the simplest of things. The rooms are beautiful, and breakfast on the terrace each morning was great. The art work by Anna Izzo... more

We enjoyed our stay at the Residenza d'Arte. Eric was manning the front desk during our stay, and he made us feel at home and provided great recommendations for things to see in the surrounding area. Being artsy ouselves, we enjoyed the creative and romantic accomodations. We stayed in one of the larger suites, and while we'd return, we would... more

We had high expectations for our Tuscan vacation and this exceeded everything. The location is a great launching pad for many great Tuscan towns. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms warm and inviting, and artwork that touches every corner. You'll see by the photos that you'll be staying in an old monastery that's essentially an art gallery. The surroundings are... more

The Residenza d'Arte was a wonderful surprise and a very comfortable jumping off point for exploring Tuscany. The rooms were exceptionally spacious and comfortable and the art that fills the grounds and the interior of the stone building lends a very colorful and lighthearted feel to the place. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful and arranged for us... more

My wife and I have just returned from Italy where we had the pleasure of staying at the Residenza d' Arte for six wonderful nights. Spectacular views, dramatic decor and warm friendly service from a family run top class Tuscan Inn made our visit unforgetable. Outstanding. more

We stayed at the Residenza d'Arte for 2 nights on our recent trip to Italy, a trip during which we traveled for a 9 days and then capped it by getting married in Assisi. We stayed here for the 3rd and 4th nights of our trip; having come from beautiful but hectic Florence, it was a wonderful respite from the... more

Stayed at Residenza for 2 nights in April. It was the most expensive accomodation out of 4 B&B we booked for our Italian holiday and the worst of all. Will start with the good points: Residenza D'Arte is located on a beautiful hill, in the middle of magic Tuscan countryside. The ambiance is truly unique and the art works exhibited... more

Reading this review it was been a real surprise for all of us because nothing like this can happen in our hotel. In fact we personally check the rooms after the daily cleaning of the waiters, and our linen and blankets are always clean and fresh. Sometime we think that some guests that have been charged for a late cancellation...

We spent 8 days at Residenza, and found that all of these positive comments about Eric, Francesca, Paggio and Ana are well deserved. They are genuinely and tirelessly gracious, upbeat and helpful. If you come to Tuscany wanting to wake to views across fertile fields of a nearby city where it looks like history has stood still, live in the... more

What a beautiful experience! The Rezidenza is beautiful--in artwork, views, charm, and warm hospitality. Four of us stayed a full week, using the inn as our home base and taking day trips from there. With the host's guidance, we were able to visit interesting ancient cities, beautiful vistas, and even a new outlet mall. We never left the inn too... more
