We were 3 couples and stayed in this charming palazzo. It may need some renovation, but then sure the price would go up. Relatively close to the old town. We would recommend it. more

We were travelling by car through Italy and for the last few nights, we decided to follow the road. We decided to stay in Sienna, as we didnt have the chance of seeing it on the way down (we stopped in San Gimigniano for a short visit). Although Palazzo di Valli was not our first choice, it was a good... more

We had a wonderful time at the Palazzo di Valli!! Our room was clean and wonderfully decorated (such charm!) and the view from our room was amazing (room #25). Hotel staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Breakfast was super tasty and in an adorable breakfast room (the cappucino was incredible). Formerly the summer home of the rich Piccolomini family and... more

Beautiful old villa with frescoes overlooking a typical Tuscany landscape. Kind service but poor breakfast. Good location just outside the town. Easy to walk to the city center or take a bus. Noise from the town some evenings but nevertheless good value for money. more

We found bedbugs on our headboard before we even got into bed the first night! They moved us to a room downstairs. It didn't have bedbugs but during the night mortar from the ceiling continuously dropped onto our bed. The bathroom didn't have a fan and every morning it smelled like cigarette smoke- which didn't mix well with the steam... more

They claim to have lost our reservation. Regardless of an email print out that I had with me which confirmed the reservation I had made through the hotel's website 3 months in advance! They almost ruined our trip to Tuscany... if it were not for the Palazzo Ravizza, who were more than accomodating at last minute this could have been... more

A short bus ride from the Porta Romana gate, through a portaled gate and up a long driveway sits this little farmhouse with six (or so) rooms. The views are quite spectacular, the gardens are nice, the quiet a nice break from touring, and the rooms spacious and well maintained. Breakfast is provided. The staff were helpful and a delight... more

This is what Tuscany is about! I had always dreamed of going to Tuscany and I must say my dreams came true. Beautiful views from the window. Beauitful and spacious rooms. Beautiful house and gardens. As you can tell, I loved this place. It is also near Siena but not too close. I never had the problem with noise. Ciao! more

We stayed 3 nights at the Palazzo di Valli in June 2004 - a lovely restored palace with gorgeous views from our window of the Tuscan hills and Sienna itself. A nice spacious room, decorated with traditional furnishings and an amazing ceiling with painted murals. A very pretty breakfast room, but no restaurant. The hotel is just outside of Sienna,... more
