I booked for a single and was upgrated to a double. The room is spacious, the location is perfect, the staff is helpful, the breakfast is rich, the rates are reasonalbe. You could' t ask for more. Staying at Il Casato was a dream. This is a gorgeous, historic property just a five minute walk from the campo. The terrace outside our room was a huge an unexpected bonus. Our room was beautiful, and the common areas are charming. I would highly recommend the Chianti tour which we conviently booked through the hotel. more

This accomodation was very disappointing. It all sounds so great a small hotel situated in old buildings in the middle of the beutiful town of Siena. The location is actually OK a bit away from the tourist streets but still close to everything. They had two entrance doors towards two different streets and the reception was at the lower one.... more
