It's a beautiful place outside the city. Plan on having car if you want to stay here. Kids enjoyed the swimming pool. We had a one bedroom apartment that was upgraded to a one bedroom with the loft. Room was very spacious. But housekeeping does not come every day. Breakfast was great but was the only place we paid for... More

This is a well run hotel in fabulously restored buildings. Booking through Expedia was hugely problematic but Amina at the hotel contacted my directly to query the three bookings that had gone through when only one was needed. If she hadn't, I could have been billed for £600 more than I was actually trying to spend. The rooms are all... More

Lovely place, very friendly and helpful staff, children loved the pool. Distance to old town wasn't a problem because we are used to walk and use public transport (and seldom rent a car when traveling in Italy).

Our family stayed at Borgo Grondaie some days in the middle of June. The saltwater swimmingpool was great. The whole property is surrounded by a beautiful garden. There are nice surroundings for biking. A huge supermarket is near by. It takes 20-30 minutes to walk up to the old city of Siena. There is also a short walk to the... More

You are removed from the hustle of the big city to a very tranquil place. Husband and I really love the rustic nature of the rooms and the reception area. Wonderful staff - very accommodating. would stay again.

We just recently stayed here at the beginning of June with a total of 4 families and 13 children. It was a short walk from the train station with each of us rolling luggage. We loved having a large grocery store close and loved being a close walk into town. The kids loved the pool and the adults loved the... More

This is really a beautiful hotel. The pool area and the grounds are fantastic and well kept. The pool area had NO umbrellas so we had to find shade under the trees during 35+ degrees heat! This was a big negative and could so easily be remedied. The staff were all very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was excellent.... More

It's been 9 years since we've been to Siena and we were happy to find that Borgo Grondaie is as charming as it was when we were last in town. All staff are very helpful and accommodating, the apartment we stayed in Ollivi 2 was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Even if you're staying in the apartments,... More

We stayed here for several nights. It's a nice hotel and they try hard. However several things detracted from our stay. Worst was the bed. This was our honeymoon and, well, the bed was very loudly squeaky. Terribly distracting and made romance difficult. An other is their WIFI policy of only allowing a single device. More devices can be supported... More

Dear Sir, we are very sorry that your experience at Borgo didn't satisfy your expectation and we are very sorry that you didn't come to reception to explain problems about your bed. Sometimes it happens that some screws loosen and it's not very easy to realize the problem when maid service is cleaning rooms. We are always available to improve... More

Spent a week at the Borgo Grondaie in early May, 2014. Location was great - near enough to walk to the train station where the escalators take you up inside the city walls and very close to a large, well stocked supermarket yet far enough away and off the beaten path from the city to have very peaceful surroundings. Rooms... More
