We booked this place the day before and it was perfect for what we wanted - a cheaper, clean place to stay. Siena's not a big place, so while not centrally-located per se, Albergo Bernini was in a great location for exploring the town. The staff were really helpful in getting WiFi hooked up for my husband and even called... More

We only stayed one night at Albergo Bernini. We didn't have very hot water either but just kept the showers short I guess. If we were staying longer we might have pursued it. I am pretty sure we were there the same night as the other people that had the hot water problem, so it's possible it was an isolated... More

We stayed at the Albergo Bernini for one night, and booked a double room with bath for 70 euro per night. The desk clerk was helpful in recommending a restaurant for dinner, and the room overall was pretty and clean. However, we didn't have any hot water in the shower the next morning, and couldn't find anyone to ask about... More

My husband and I stayed here on Jan 3, 2009 – shared bathroom – 50 Euro (low low season) Service: Excellent. Extraordinary helpful and speaks English. We have our own laptop and used their wired connection. Room: lots of space, sink in room, clean. Soap provided, bring your own shampoo. View: we had the back room and had a good... More

9 or so rooms on quiet Siena street. Stayed 3 nights (double - twin with shared bath) in October for 68 Euros. Large room with street view, a bit noisy at night. Matresses and hot water/water pressure OK, clean enough. Pleasant, if dimly lit common areas. Very very helpful staff, did not avail ourselves of breakfast. Fantastic, reasonably priced restaurant... Service: absolutely excellent. The three sisters were extraordinarily helpful. Lovely people. And they allowed us to use their internet connection. Fantastic. Breakfast: Just what we wanted -- juice, yogurt, pastries & coffee (yummy Italian or big American) or tea Bathrooms: shared, but 3 for 5 rooms -- no trouble. Soap provided, bring your own shampoo. Bedroom (#1): lots of space,... More

We had a short stay (1 night) in Sienna and the Albergo Bernini house was perfect for us. The room was clean and simple, and the breakfast on the terrace was well worth the 7.50 euros. The highlight is the view from the terrace which is one of the best in Sienna. We stayed in room 1 which doesn't have... More

This little hotel is great. The staff were fanatstic and the rooms large and clean. Some rooms have shared bathrooms, but there are only about 5 rooms to share 3 bathrooms, so this was not a problem. The hotel has the most amazing terrace that overlooks the old city and is a great place to sit and have a bottle... More

We recently stayed one night at the Albergo Bernini based on Rick Steves recommendations. We found out that the hotel has new owners since the last time that Rick was there. So don't go expecting to hear accordian music. But the hotel is the same, the new staff is great and the locations is still the same. The room that... More

Great location. A short walk to restaurants and shops. The hotel is simple and cozy. The terrace has a great view of the town. The star attraction of the hotel, however, is Carlatta. Very helpful, terrific personality, and quite a beauty. Thanks again.
