We found this charming old hotel by accident. We arrived late afternoon in Siena to find all central hotels fully booked. We drove north and asked in a village where we might find a "nice hotel". We followed half-understood directions along country roads. "This can't be a hotel", we thought. "It's a country manor." It is and it was. I... More

Sienna for 2 nights for work, As you arrive it looks like paradise, very pretty, and the rooms are good, its the common areas that need some work, also no room service, which isnt a problem as sienna has some of the most amazing little places to eat. Not sure of the price as my customer paid, but reminds me... More

We stayed here in June 2011 for one night while visiting Sienna. It was very hot and we wanted somewhere with a pool and garden near the city. It fulfilled the requirements but is far from perfect. As other reviewers have said it could be an absolute gem but had some way to go when we were there. However there... More

The property was incredibly beautiful. Breakfast in the gardens an awesome experience. I must agree with other guests that it is an old hotel; but the bathroom was new and remodeled and the shower extraordinary. Our room was clean and comfortable. Yes I would return. Front desk was helpful, though they take long to assist you. (at their own pace)

The hotel is indeed in need of clean up and repairs . The wallpaper in the halls has numerous stains from time . The plaster is chipping in the common area. When one drives up a cement mixer and trailer are the first things seen. The circular drive with garden in center is overgrown and ugly.the boxwoods haven't been trimmed... More

This hotel was awesome and sat on very beautiful property. The rooms were amazing, but have u ever heard the saying one person can make an entire resort... well, with this hotel sadly the front desk men were very rude and not helpful at all i think that if this hotel would would get new desk men it would be perfect.

We stayed here for just one night whilst touring Tuscany in our own car, and cannot wait to return. It is a slice of history, and like another reviewer said just like "Remains of the Day". The rooms are exquisite, like staying in a luxury villa, and everything is clean, tidy and of real quality. Yes, some of the outside... More

stunning old-world guesthouse - recent tasteful renovations with marble staircases and bathrooms, enormous windows with wide sills reaching out to tuscany. gorgeus italian hostess - patrizia (lives on site) extremely helpful with tourist trips and local information. delicious home-cooked breakfast set in an elegant dining room with beautiful garden views. A wonderful Italian experience in a great location.

Wow. With no reservation for accommodation in Siena, we arrived at dusk with no map, and no idea which direction to go in. Both of us were exhausted, and after driving thru chaotic traffic, my sister remembered seeing a sign as we were heading into Siena. It turned out to be the best part of our journey. The hotel had... The location of this hotel is perfect for travelling around and visiting other places in the locality. This is not the hotel to stay in if you wish to use the swimming pool (filthy and dangerous) the tennis courts (no equipment (apart from a broken racket and frayed ball)) or the bar, which isn't somewhere you can (a) find staff,...
