We stayed at Hotel Santa Caterina as part of our three week Honeymoon celebration through Italy. We absolutely loved our stay here- the location, just outside the walls of Siena, is perfect. It's a beautiful hotel, with plenty of Tuscan-medieval charm still remaining. Our room was beautiful, we had a loft style room with the bed upstairs, which we loved.... More

We stayed in two single rooms here in November, and were really impressed by the hotel and its staff. First of all, the location is perfect - you get a fantastic view over the valley from the breakfast terrace. We watched the sunrise which was spectacular. The rooms are spacious and the decor tasteful, it was all very clean. The... More

I stayed here two nights with my wife.Everything was excellent.Specially the friendliness of all the staff was exceptional. They were always smiley and ready to help. The hotel is also close to the old part of Siena.Specially the view of the valley from the garden was unforgetable. I recommend this small hotel to everyone.

After the crowds and traffic of Florence, Siena was a delight. The pace of the city oozes through your skin and you find yourself enjoying the "Pausa" as much as the locals. We stayed at the hotel for four nights for a very reasonable price,(offseason) and the staff was friendly and helpful. Its a 10 minute walk to the campo... More

I'm so glad we chose this hotel as our base for exploring Tuscany. It is a short walk into the heart of Siena and has a beautiful garden area with views of the countryside. The rooms are on the small side but nicely appointed. Ask for one with a view. They are much quieter and the views are great. The... More

This hotel is ideally located right at the Porto Romano gate but easy access to roads to explore Tuscany. We had a lovely room with a view of the hills of Tuscany and were able to watch the full moon while enjoying a glass of Tuscany wine most nights. The garden area of the hotel is wonderful and if you... More

We checked prices on the UK booking sites then rang the hotel ten days before our trip. Prices were about 65% of those quoted online. 15 mins walk from the Campo with stunning views from the terrace and good breakfast. Best of all was the exquisite and charming service - would thoroughly recommend it.

My wife and I spent a portion of our honeymoon this summer at the Santa Caterina, and it was a wonderful experience. The view from the back terrace (and our room) was fantastic, the breakfasts were great, the cappuccinos were excellent, the room service was super-efficient (they replaced our broken shower head at 10:30 at night), they are within a... This hotel is located just outside the Porta Romana - a great place to be. We had a typical (meaning superb) view of the Tuscan countryside. Mostly peaceful with only a small amount of traffic noises in the beautiful garden (where we ate our evening meals each night). The room was BIG and quiet. Nice staff, one of the best... More

Great comfortable hotel that is in a convenient location to walk, explore and enjoy Siena and Tuscany. Wait staff is pleasant and helpfully. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast was delicious and served in a lovely room overlooking the garden. I would stay here in a heartbeat again. The location is great and from our room we... More
