Any doubt that it's the best hotel in Siena. It really looks like a tuscany sweet dream, with a lovely breakfast and romantic yet simple bedrooms. From here we traveled each day to a different city: montalcino, san giminiano, Lucca, Pisa and even Assis. The location is perfect: in front of one of Siena main gates. There's a parking area... Very friendly small hotel just outside city walls. Lovely short walk to the city meandering through small lanes. Rooms traditional, clean and comfy had a good quiet nights sleep. Breakfast is continental very satisfying. Wonderful views from the terrace. Lucia at reception very helpful. Breakfast waitress eager to please. Private car park advantageous. Well worth a visit and will stay... More

A two night stay in Siena punctuated by a lovely stay at this hotel. The highest kudos goes to the very welcoming staff. Upon arrival, although a tad later in the evening, André (sp?) was smiling, friendly and very welcoming. Very willing to accommodate. Later in the evening, another gentleman was equally warming. Breakfast was nice, again, very nice service.... More

We stayed at Hotel Santa Caterina as part of our three week Honeymoon celebration through Italy. We absolutely loved our stay here- the location, just outside the walls of Siena, is perfect. It's a beautiful hotel, with plenty of Tuscan-medieval charm still remaining. Our room was beautiful, we had a loft style room with the bed upstairs, which we loved.... More

We stayed in two single rooms here in November, and were really impressed by the hotel and its staff. First of all, the location is perfect - you get a fantastic view over the valley from the breakfast terrace. We watched the sunrise which was spectacular. The rooms are spacious and the decor tasteful, it was all very clean. The... More

I stayed here two nights with my wife.Everything was excellent.Specially the friendliness of all the staff was exceptional. They were always smiley and ready to help. The hotel is also close to the old part of Siena.Specially the view of the valley from the garden was unforgetable. I recommend this small hotel to everyone.

After the crowds and traffic of Florence, Siena was a delight. The pace of the city oozes through your skin and you find yourself enjoying the "Pausa" as much as the locals. We stayed at the hotel for four nights for a very reasonable price,(offseason) and the staff was friendly and helpful. Its a 10 minute walk to the campo... More

I'm so glad we chose this hotel as our base for exploring Tuscany. It is a short walk into the heart of Siena and has a beautiful garden area with views of the countryside. The rooms are on the small side but nicely appointed. Ask for one with a view. They are much quieter and the views are great. The... More

This hotel is ideally located right at the Porto Romano gate but easy access to roads to explore Tuscany. We had a lovely room with a view of the hills of Tuscany and were able to watch the full moon while enjoying a glass of Tuscany wine most nights. The garden area of the hotel is wonderful and if you... More
