My partner and I spent one night. The best part was breakfast in the garden overlooking the countryside - very romantic and lovely. The breakfast was nice, and they served capuccino or coffee at your table. Our corner room was nice enough, not luxurious, although unfortunately one side faced the intersection (the other faced the garden) and for such a... more

We stayed here with my daughter so we had three people. I had heard/read good things about this place. Indeed, breakfast was pleasant and the view from the garden was splendid. Location was OK ( not as good as Palazzo Ravizza) but the real problem is that they have made double rooms into triples by adding loft areas. (the guy... more

We loved this hotel on the edge of Siena. The gentleman working the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The view of the hillside from our room was jaw-droppingly beautiful. The breakfast garden is amazing (with the same view), and they put out a good spread in the morning for breakfast. It is totally worth the extra 10 minute... more

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon. It was nice- the rooms are not luxurious, but are clean and comfortable. Amazing garden out back, perfect for a picinc. Good breakfast. Its a bit of a walk into the town of Siena, but we actually did it twice in 1 day and it was fine. more

So, we stayed there 3 years ago and I'm just getting around to writing this review now (yes, I know that's pathetic) but the reason I'm writing it is because we STILL, three years later, hold this hotel up as the gold standard for what a romantic getaway hotel should be like. We have fond memories of the stunning views... more

Everyone talks about the view from the rooms and the gardens, and I must say they are mesmerizing. In the evening late or at breakfast early, the view was more than I expected. It is a bit difficult to find and the exterior appearance may be a cause for concern to some. But once inside it is a most charmiong... more

What a lovely hotel! Our first morning in Sienna, we opened our bedroom window and looked out over the Tuscan countryside and literally giggled with joy. We had room 11. It was small, but what a lovely view! The bed was comfy, the bathroom was clean and updated, and you can't beat the outdoor terrace for breakfast in the morning.... more

Santa Caterina is located just outside the city walls of Siena. It is small hotel with 22 rooms but perfect for a base in Tuscany. The rooms are large and airy. Ours had an enormous wardrobe and although the beds were a little hard, were perfectly fine. We stayed four nights and really glad that we did. The breakfast was... more

The hotel staff could not have been better; booked museaums in Florance for us, recomended excellent resturants maped day trips, and helped in every way. While the hotel faces the street, the back of ther hotel, in the breakfast garden provides priceless views of Tusacany. We (2 of us) stayed in unit 1 (The aprartment) which had 2 bed rooms,... more

May 2, 2009 We stayed just one night although we had booked for two. We arrived by car into Siena during a rainstorm about 6:00 PM. Dispite instructions over the cell phone and from the locals, we had problems in locating the hotel. To a visitor at dusk the great wall of the Fortezza may look like the wall surrounding... more
