We were delighted with this hotel. It is very well located just inside the old city walls, was really easy to find, and was a short walk to all the main sights. The rooms are well sized and we had a lovely view out over the town. It was a really quiet location. The hotel offers under cover car parking... More

For tourists with a (rental) car a parking spot / garage is one of the elementary things in choosing a hotel. Hotel Minerva has a garage (extra charge). When staying only a couple of nights, a central location, preferably a walking distance from the city centre / historical centre is very important. Hotel Minerva fills that requirement. As Europeans used... More

Dear Lennuko, many thanks for your commentary. I'm pleased to read that you appreciated our focus points, i.e. the surveilled garage just next to the hotel, and its walking distance from the principal monuments of town, either Piazza del Campo or the Duomo. nI think it is worthy to pay a lòittle more to enjoy to stay in a room... For 50 euros I would except a no frills hotel but what we found was twice what we expected . Location about 10min walk from town historic center overlooking a nice part of the town . reception was quick and effective , rooms spartan but clean , tidy , and equipped with all the basics . Free Wifi was good... More

We usually travel by car and the hotel has a garage which is very rare in a well located hotel in Siena. It is inside the city walls and a few minutes from Piazza del Campo, the Duomo and all the places in town. Although it is a simple hotel, the staff is nice, the view is great and parking... More

My wife and I stayed at the Minerva for 2 nights in Siena. Our double room was basic but clean and quiet. We had a balcony and the view of the old town was amazing. Pros: very convenient location just outside of the old town, which is the highlight of the city; close to the train station; wifi in the... More

The Hotel Minerva wasreall y good. The staff were really friendly & helpful. It was in a good location only 10 mins from station- there are signs but keep right at the bridge & go up the hill & it’s at the top. When we arrived the hotel, the man in the reception was very nice and offer us to upgrade the room to a room with beautiful view. I'm sorry if the room was not perfvect as you expected, but you had to tell to reception immediately, there is always someone which could have cleaned during the afternonn when you were out. This was our cheapest hotel in our Tuscany tour and so were a little reluctant. We needn't be, it was by far the best, I'm confused why it doesn't have better results!! Location is great, not brilliant but I mean it's a 2 min walk and you are in the town. The breakfast is very very good for the buffet... More

Room was lovely and clean. Minibar was stocked (for a fee upon checkout) with champagne, wine, beer, waters and snacks. Balcony was very small but I requested one and got one overlooking beautiful Siena. Stayed only one night, but it was quiet and clean and in the historic center of the city. Garage parking available for 12 euros a day,... More

Upon check in, the man at the front desk offered to upgrade our room for "cash only". Though it was graft, the balcony was well worth it. Definitely get a balcony! Dear guest many thanks for yor commentary. I'm glad you liked the terrace my colleague offered you.
