Hotel Minerva is well placed in the glorious medieval Tuscan city of Siena i.e., about 10 minutes by cab from the airport or 5-10 on foot from the bus station (inside the old city). It's in the She Wolf contrade (district) of the city. If you are interested in the districts, you can read all about them on Wikipedia. They're... More

When we arrived, we were met by a staff member who treated us as though we were an interruption to his day. He didn't even tKe the time to tell us where the elevator was, or which floor to go to. We had a room that began with a "2" so pressed the elevator for the second floor, only to... More

The location is 10 minutes far from the historical center, but is near the church and the bells make noise earlier in the morning. When I stayed there with my husband they told us that was impossible to use the air conditioner, because the low don't alow this on the spring begining. So, to get fresh air and ventilation to... Dear Maria, thank you for your commentary. Being our hotel in the center, it is normal that the bell of the churches sound during the day. When you staid at the hotel the weather was cold so there wasn't any reason to put on the air conditioning, also because some guest asked for the heating. sorry for the employee that... More

A very clean, comfortable hotel near the Porta Ovile chosen for its nearness to Siena station although all distances in Siena are relative as it is a town built on five hills and many of the steep narrow streets are quite challenging. The hotel provides an invaluable city map for tourist, free Wi-Fi (an computer) in the lobby, decent-size bathrooms... More

Nicely located and in close proximity of the train station and into the centre of Siena. Rooms were very clean and breakfast was decent. Staff were polite and spoke good english which was helpful. Hotel room view was lovely - we had a nice view of Siena from a high up room which was a bonus!

I found this place through Rick Steves guidebook and had a very good stay. The hotel is located just outside the city center, but it is only about a 10 minute walk to get to the Il Campo or Duomo area. The views of the city center are amazing. Rick Steves recommended this hotel if you have a car while... More

Nice place where ti spend a couple of night. Pros: Clean and large rooms, a few minutes from the city center but still out of the pedestrian precinct, so that you can park your car. Drawbacks: the staff was not very friendly. However I recommend the hotel for business and pleasure staying both.

I booked this through the internet. It is somewhat close to the train station and 10-15 minute walk to the center of it all. Siena is gorgeous and this hotel was a lovely stay. We had a room with a balcony. Despite the fact that the temperature outside was just a little above freezing we spend some time on the balcony since the view, both by day and at night, was superb. The hotel does have an amazing view and is well located. It's clean and the front desk staff is helpful but our two rooms were very shabby. Dear Jobee, many thanks for your commentary and your suggestions. During spring and summer the balcony has flower and plants, but during the winter it is a bit difficult to have flowers in the balcony. In any case if you will come back during spring season, you will find many flowers in our balconies. Kind regards form Hotel Minerva More
