This was our first hotel after stepping off the plane in Roma. Usually, I'm riddled with jetlag the first day but I could not sleep with such beauty all around me. I found this hotel to be comfortable and clean. The gardens were lush and green, very enjoyable for a nice walk about. Our room was clean and cozy. However,... more

The main hotel certainly is grand and the gardens impressive, however, this is where the good ends and the bad begins! The hotel also has two 'annexes', we found after we had checked in that our room was actually in one of the annexes. The hotel itself 'may' be 4 star but the annexes certainly are NOT! They are more... more

We would like to clarify that is clearly written in all web sites we are published that our hotel is composed by a main building the "Villa" and 3 annexs, all of them have been classified as 4 stars. Rooms type are diveded and sold as : Economy, Standard, Superior and De Lux. In room description is clearly written that...

I can see why they call it Hotel Garden - I enjoyed roaming around the extensive front garden and the hotel is set on a hill (given that it is a hilly region) so it was nice to look down onto them. I had a room for one night at the side of the hotel. It was spacious and somewhat... more

The hotel is set in pleasant gardens, and there is a terrace at the back with views of Siena. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful, and spoke good English. Our room was in the ‘Casabianca’ annexe, and was clean and comfortable, with antique-style furnishings and décor, and adequately equipped (including a safe, and a hairdryer in the bathroom). The... more

I stayed at the Hotel Garden during a photography workshop in Siena. I have to admit, it was convenient for the workshop as the hotel has conference rooms and a restaurant. I stayed several days after the workshop and wished I had moved to another hotel in Siena. I agree with the reviews that this is a tired hotel. While... more

LOCATION: North-west suburb of Siena – about half an hour walk into Piazza Il Campo, the centre of the old town. Lovely views of Siena and the surrounding countryside. Substantial grounds (though could have been a little better tended, we thought), with swimming pool, and outdoor terrace to enjoy a drink and the view. Ample parking available in the grounds.... more

We spent 2 nights at this hotel which is in an idyllic setting however the rooms and public areas of it were very tired looking. We ate in the restaurant on the first night which was not cheap and the food was poor. We ordered pasta with scallops which appeared to have one scallop chopped up and the dish had... more

We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children, 5 and 9 years old) who booked a family room for three nights. The pictures on the Internet looked very nice, so we were looking forward to the stay. However when we arrived we were offered a room in the annex (not the main building). They explained that this... more

This hotel was just marvelous. It definitely pays to get a little more expensive room in the Villa. The staff was outstanding. The grounds of the hotel are spectacular. From the pool area, to the terrace, to the flower gardens. Our room was just beautiful although the bed was quite hard. The air conditioning was so cold we had to... more

We stayed at the Garden Hotel during Palio from June 30 until July 12, 2008 and enjoyed it very much, Our room (Superior Deluxe) was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful for the most part. The pool was large and pleasant to use after a day of walking around Siena in the hot weather.... more
