Great location for this family run hotel. Have stayed here for the last two summers and am heading back this year! Quick bus ride from the bus stop out front to historic centre. The food and service are like staying in the home of an italian relative! Nicoletta and Alessandro are very helpful!!!

The worst hotel ever!! Don't go there! I spent 2 nights there because in booking.com they give it 7 points but it's not true! My first day I returned from the historic centre tired and hungry, the problems were: no air conditioning working in the room, the restaurant was closed the whole weekend and the hotel it's in the middle... Cosy little hotel close to the station and siena city centre. I only stay one week for work and i really appreciate the cousine (Try the Tuscany ragu'). Not really modern furniture, and small room ( at least single room). It represents the perfect stay for who s looking for a quite, familiar and nice place.

I stayed at Vico Alto with a school group of 90 or so students, and I had to say, it was a great experience. It wasn't as up to date as other hotels I've stayed at before, but it was clean, and the hotel staff was great. It wasn't in the city centre, but it only took a short bus... More

I came to this hotel to stay for two weeks. It was by far the worst hotel i have ever stayed at, or seen, in my entire life. its location is awful, it is in the middle of no where. it is hard to get into sienna as the buses hardly run. the hotel, however, is not hard to spot,... More

Having used Tripadvisor for years for information, what compelled me to sign up was to warn travellers off this terrible hotel. We booked through Accomline and felt after the stay that their description (taken straight from the Vico Alto’s website) was out of date but they have not published our politely worded negative comments. The hotel is described as having... More

We stayed at the Alto on a busy night in Siena when all the central town hotels were full. However, it has a great position up high and our bright big room had a lovely balcony overlooking the valley. It was cheap with an adequate breakfast, fantastic free internet point and friendly fluent english speaking desk staff. We parked on... More
