I stayed in this property with my wife for the long weekend of first of May, 2015. Booked the hotel a couple of weeks in advance. Because I was using a corporate agreement, I had to call the hotel to book. Clerk said I would be receiving the confirmation via email, which never happened until I sent them an email.... More

I stayed three nights for business at this hotel, just across the old city and near the fortress and sports stadium. You are steps away from the little streets and beautiful old city (2 minutes walk). The room was comfortable and large, mostly quiet (be on guard for football games in the stadium if you are facing that side which... More

The hotel location is great located at Bus stop and next to train station under ground. The room is great very spacious and modern. Restaurant is open for dinner with a basic menu and breakfast is nice if you like meat and croissants of every flavour, only couple of pieces of fruit on offer and scrambled eggs. Beautiful new ish... More

Lovely views from windows at the rear of the hotel to the duomo although noisy if there is a match on at the stadium. Good size rooms. Not many bathroom extras. V expensive mini bar. Easy couple of minutes walk to historic centre. If arriving by train, enter the shopping centre opposite and take escalator up about 7 levels. This... More

Big hotel, immaculately maintained, ideally located, not expensive. So why was I glad to leave? Perhaps it is the large black chandelier which dominates reception which sets the unfortunate tone. The reception staff are the worst I have encountered. An example: on the second day ( and subsequently) my room key card did not work. Receptionist (male, balding) approached me... More

I had a one night sleep in NH Excelsior in Siena. The booking was not my choice and I wouldn't repeat this experience. I see that other reviewers had a much better experience, so I write about my stay. First problem: there is not a parking place, so if you have a car you must find your own solution. At... More

Nice modern hotel at the edge of Sienna old town and next to main bus station, so good location and not noisy (when we were there). Breakfast was particularly good. One gripe: like many places now, there is free WiFi, but it's slow; serious users would need to opt for paid version. Also, the house PC requires a credit card... More

If you made it direction "Stadio" it is - compared to other hotels in Siena at least - easy to find. Valet Parking in near-by private garage works well. Only 10 mins walk to Piazza del Campo or Duomo. Quiet room with a balcony and nice view overlooking the stadium and parts of old Siena - ask for the rear... More

I stayed at NH Excelsior for two nights in March 2015. I was in Siena for a meeting and booked the hotel from the Internet. I arrived very late at night and was pleasantly surprised by the nice location of the hotel. I came to Siena via train and I do not advice to walk from the station to the... More

Very good spot to stay as one only has to walk a short way down cobbled streets, past shops to get to the main square. We even found a laundromat (off the main square) and were able to easily bundle up our clothes and walk to and from the hotel. Everyone very helpful.
