A few friends and I had planned a trip to Siena on the occasion of a wedding. Arriving to the Montechiato Estate was such a pleasant surprise. Within an extremely easy reach from Florence we all gathered in a place where time seems to have stopped centuries back. No rush here. Great food, oil and wine (produced on site!). Lovely... More

In September 2013 a group of 27 of us had an amazing experience of a trip to the Monte Chiaro vineyard. Our host Alessandro Griccioli was our guide during the trip through the vineyard and surrounding estate. His passion for his wine and it's preparation was very apparent and we were very interested to hear his family history of the... More

We rented two of the three villas, La Torre and La Campanina for a fortnight. We were a family of nineteen, including three small children and one very small child. This was a repeat visit, two years ago twelve of us had stayed in La Campana but this year it was already booked by September 2012. La Campana, which has... More

I was fortunate enough to visit this beautiful vineyard during a recent stay in Siena. Everything about it was wonderful especially the wine! Alessandro Griccioli was a gracious and welcoming host. One of the highlights of my trip!

Well, if anyone ever wants to fall in love with Tuscany then just head right to the Montechiaro Estates. The views of the valley are exquisite. The food is magnificent. The Griccioli family is elegant and kind, and the wine! Have I yet mentioned the wine? Superb. In fact, our whole group already started placing orders. I just cannot imagine... More

On our drive from Florence through Tuscany, we stopped at the Montechiaro vineyard for a wine tour and tasting. I highly recommend it! Alessandro Griccioli was a wonderful host and is very knowledgeable about the production and marketing of wine. The Griccioli family has lived on the property for years and were able to tell stories of the history of... More

Just got back from a great family holiday at La Capannina. A really beautiful spot in the hills around Siena, and the Griccioli family were extremely welcoming, friendly and did all they could to make sure our stay was as enjoyable as possible. Only regret is that we were a little too early in the season for the swimming pool.... More

We stayed in La Capannina - lovely converted barn with pool - breakfast everyday on the terrace overlooking the farm. We were looked after well by the Griccioli family - we were shown round the garden of the main house with lovely views towards Siena. Alessandro and Pietro were very helpful. The wine we bought from the estate was excellent... More

We stayed in La Capana for a week in July 2011. We were a family of eleven plus one friend. My Italian is not good enough to answer the individual questions but we found everything to our taste. The house itself, the facilites, the garden first class. The view to Sienna was unrivalled, particularly in the evening and at night.... More
