I stayed here two nights. It was my first time in Siena. The location was very central, yet still very quiet for sleeping. The staff was helpful and efficient. I chose to pay a few extra Euro for breakfast which was taken buffet style at tables shared with other guests and assigned by two energetic and hard-working ladies. Although there... more

After a horrible experience in our other hotel in Siena (see my other reviews) we checked into the Alma Domus. Not only was it cheaper than the other place, it was much much cleaner and more charming. The room was clean and bed was very comfortable. The shower and bathrroom were clean and basic, but with real towels. The hotel... more

This was my 2nd time at the Alma Domus. Again, I requested a room with a view. And, agai, I wasnt disappointed, in fact, it has been upgraded, a little, since I was there 2 years ago. The rooms are small. The bathroom was functional and even had a much better shower than I remember! The perks are, the views... more

We're normally not directionally challenged, but we had a hard time finding this place! Make sure you grab a map at the train station (tourist office) before you head into town. Otherwise, just get off the bus at Piazza Gramsci, wander towards San Domenico, and keep asking till you find it. Once there, we were not disappointed. The staff was... more

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for two nights. The room was very clean and I thought the bed was comfortable. My only complaint is that none of the rooms in the hotel have actual double beds. All the double rooms have two twin beds. That would be my only complaint and it is pretty minor one. So... more

We stayed at Alma Domus for 3 nights. Our room was small but very cosy and comfortable (same for the bathroom) and we had a magnificent view on the Duomo from our window! There's a 1am curfew but after a day of sight seeing and a delicious meal in one of the nearby restaurants I was happy to be in... more

We are a mother-daughter (ages 62 & 32) duo doing Italy over 2 weeks in October 2009. I can see how finding the hotel is a bit of a challenge. The best advice is as written in Rick Steve's book - find San Domenico, go down the hill to the left, and then turn right down down a brick walk.... more

OK. So the rooms were pretty basic. But the price was good, the location was good and the view from our room, from our own balcony, was fantastic (be sure to ask for a room with a view). I was very happy with this hotel. People who don't stay at least one night in Siena are really missing out. more

Pros: - Views - Location - Helpful staff (we decided to leave one night earlier than we had booked and there was no problem with this, or charge) - Cheap internet on site (1 euro/hour) Cons: - Small basic room more

This hotel sits near the edges of the old portion of Siena. It was extremely easy to catch a bus from the train station at the edge of town and walk the last few blocks to this hotel. Our room was clean and spacious and best of all had a great balcony looking up at the Siena Duomo. The staff... more
