We were staying just 20 minutes walk from II Vicario, which proved to be quite a slog in the August sunshine. That said, on arrival we were greeted by Fulvio who quickly offered us some much needed shade from the midday sun and a large glass of iced water. Once refreshed, we met Katia, who was equally welcoming and such... More

Great cooking course and hospitality from Fulvio. Strongly recommend the course as it was nice to learn some italian cooking and aswell socialising with a real local. During summer it is nice to know that there's no AC and the room will be very hot.

This was amazing authentic tuscan experience- warm welcome by the owners (Fulvio & Katia), nice spacious room with large canopy bed, nice old furniture, beautiful nature around, view of San Gimignano, swimming pool, quiet surroundings; very close to San Gimignano; delicious breakfast served by Fulvio...plus Fulvio gave us the map and lots of useful tips for the trips. We definitely... More

We very much enjoyed our stay with Katia and Fulvio. Il Vicario has breath taking views and is very quite. The cooking class was so much fun and provided already accomplished cooks with new ideas and skills. The breakfast was excellent! Room tip: if it is hot outside take the room downstairs it was quite comfortable even during an unseasonably... More

Very pleasant Katye handled the class of 5 adults very well. All involved to a degree as she explained Tuscan typical fare. We made both types of pasta, sauce, salad and Bruschetta and chicken Saltimbocca plus a marvelous simple Tira Misu. Lzovely location and enjoyable experience all around.

This tucked away Tuscan villa offered us far more than we expected. At a really reasonable rate we would highly recommend staying here. The hosts Fulvio and his niece Katia are so warm and hospitable, they made the experience feel like we were living in their own home. Decent sized rooms with a beautiful bed. Ensure you take Katia's cooking... More

We came here mainly for the highly recommended cookery class. We arrived to a warm welcome from Katia & Fulvio & were immediately offered refreshments before being taken to our lovely room. We had one on the ground floor overlooking the courtyard. (Ask for first floor if you want the stunning views. ) Big with lovely rustic decor. The cookery... More

"Welcome to the family, please come join us for dinner and a glass of wine." What a way to be greeted by your accommodating hosts Fulvio and Katia! From the second we arrived at Il Vicario, we felt welcome and at home. This cute little place is perfect for couples and small families. From the well appointed rooms to the... More

We had such a wonderful time during our cooking class with Katia! The house is lovely and she and her uncle could not have been more inviting or welcoming. We made fresh pasta (two kinds) along with two sauces, panzanelle salad, brushetta and tiramisu...shared wine with our meal and got lots of great cooking tips and more. Highly recommend!

We spent 4 nights here, Fulvio is an excellent host nothing is too much trouble. Always happy to advise you on what to see, where to park, good restaurants etc. We did the intermeadiate cookery course with Katia, which was really relaxed, great fun and produced some wonderful food at the end. Disappointed that the pool wasn't open but otherwise... More
