We've self-catered several times in San Gimignano but decided to spend three nights at the Villa Belvedere because we knew it's great location just a short stroll up into the city. We had great weather so made good use of the lovely swimming pool and the parking is another bonus. We were in Room 26 on the first floor and... More

My husband and I chose Hotel Villa Belvedere for our stay in San Gimignano based on the recommendation of a family member, and we were so glad we did! The staff is incredibly helpful, kind and hospitable. We had a few restaurants we wanted to make reservations for, and they were happy to help, and gave us a great little... More

Everything else was fine, room size, cleanliness, front desk service, large parking lot. But the bed was very hard, and the pillow was thin and hard as well. I could not get comfortable, and therefore did not sleep at all. Checked out the next morning and went to the B&B next door, which is AWESOME, by the way...

The family-run hotel is simple and pleasant. The rooms are roomy and comfortable. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The continental breakfast was adequate. The WiFi worked well, but was a bit slower in the evening when everyone was on their computers. The parking was good (which is an important feature in San Gimignano). The hotel is a 500 metre... This Hotel is perfect to use has a base for a visit to San Gimignano. The private parking alone makes worth the booking. A small pool and beautiful surroundings makes it a quiet oasis only minutes away from the city walls. The breakfast is ok, and the service from the owners is really good. You really feel like a welcomed... More

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. We had a quadruple family room which was a double with two single beds, we stayed for 2 nights and managed fine but any more nights would have been a bit of a squeeze as the room was quite snug with all the beds in it. The pool and views are beautiful, the grounds... More

This is a really nice hotel, where we recently stayed for 2 nights to sample the Tuscan countryside. Our air-conditioned room was small (with a tiny bath) but was well-appointed, even down to providing a corkscrew! However the grounds were lovely; there is a reasonably-sized swimming pool too. Breakfast was served in the courtyard with views of typical Tuscan countryside.... More

We wanted somewhere walking distance to restaurants while being able to enjoy views of the Tuscan countryside - the Villa Belvedere provided this perfectly. Plenty of carparking, a pool to cool of and lovely, relaxed atmosphere and grounds. We spotted fire flies in the backyard in the evening and enjoyed every night in the ancient-walled town. So wonderful! Not flashy,... More

We love this hotel, we have been back at least 7 times for our main summer holiday. The family are wonderful and take pride in maintaining all aspects of the hotel personally in a very chilled and welcoming way. We find it very relaxing, the pool area is clean and well maintained as are the rest of the gardens with... More

A very pleasant stay! Walking distance to San Gimignano and a small pool which meant that even the kids liked it. We appreciated that the hotel has only few rooms which gives a quiet impression. Owner family is very nice! It helps to make the stay very enjoyable. Pleased with acccomodation and good food.
