We spent a wonderful eight nights at the hotel as part of our Ruby Wedding Celebrations, using it as a base to explore the surrounding area. We found all the staff helpful and attentive, the (villa) room was spacious and well appointed and we enjoyed the good selection of hot and cold items for breakfast. The hotel is in a... more

We stayed for a meeting in this hotel. Rooms are good. Location great. Beautiful gardens. BUT.....Inside decoration of the hotel is cheap and kitchy.Service is below acceptable level. When we sat down for breakfast at a balconytable we were told to leave (you eat inside if you are with the group) In the evening we asked in the restaurant for... more

Just back from 6 very relaxing nights in Villa San Paolo. It is a modern hotel, with very nice rooms and a brilliant spa area. The location is great for Siena, Florence, Lucca etc.., but would recommend getting a car, as taxis can be expensive. Breakfast was great, but would recommend dining elsewhere, if you want a more relaxed dining... more

Just returned from Villa San Paolo after 10 lovely days in this tranquil haven in the heart of Tuscany. Can thoroughly recommend the hotel, the staff are friendly and courteous, the rooms are clean, the food is very nice but dinner is expensive in the restaurant. Great breakfasts! Request a room with balcony facing the pool. The hotel is really... more

We drove here from Venice with a brief stop in Florence. We ended up driving to the hotel in the dark, late at night which is not a good idea. Make sure to get good directions! ROOM: Great! White on white. Nice balcony overlooking the garden and views of the country side. The bathroom was great with a jet tub... more

Honestly this entire review may be jaded as I was spoiled in 2 other Hotels in Italy in Rome and Sienna but this hotel tries to be more than it is. I initially booked a room for myself and another and no problem when we wanted two seperate rooms. However the rooms were somewhat small, musty, and in the second building and... more

Really enjoyed our stay at the Villa San Paolo. It is a short drive (10 mins) from San Gimignano and has great views over the town. The staff are friendly and helpful and there is a very nice atmosphere in the hotel without it being too formal. The hotel is tastefully decorated and the spa was great. Dinner was lovely... more

I booked a stay here for a week over Easter with my husband and 12-year old son. My son was miserable because of the awful food in the restaurant and snack bar, and not being allowed access to the swimming pools or spa. My husband hated the food and wanted to leave after the first day. I understood their unhappiness... more

The purpose of the stay was to wind down and explore San Gimignano. Did both. However the hotel wasen't quite ready for us. The pool wasn't opened for the season, though it was meant to be. The pool restaurant opened the day we left, and was ok, nothing more or less. The staff gave the impression of not being ready... more

We felt so at home. It feels like Scottsdale, Arizona, very southwestern. And the spa. The heated pool was wonderful. The massages left a lot to be desired, in fact horrible. They had a designer Fashion Show at the pool, dining at the pool, great breakfasts, very modern, with balconies AND THE VIEWS!!! Wow! more
