“Most beautiful and romantic spot” is what our traveling friends called Il Casale de Cartone. Early June 2014 marked our third visit to Martelli’s charming country inn – and it only gets better with time and ongoing enhancements. The location near San Gimignano, the rooms, swimming pool, breakfasts and gourmet evening meals are great and make this the perfect place... More

It was our second visit to Il Casale del Cotone and we were as satisfied as the first time. This time we stayed here with friends, and they were even more enthusiastic. The rooms are not very special, but it is the beautiful place, the atmosphere of the B&B and the way Alessandro takes care of his guest that makes... More

My family and I discovered this place on trip advisor. We chose is because of the great reviews and we weren't disappointed. Alessandro, the owner is very kind and also cooks amazing dinners. The rooms are clean and the views are gorgeous. It's 5 mins away from the crowded San gimignano. Give it a try and you won't regret !

Alessandro has created a lovely B&B farmhouse with a perfect location just outside of San Gimignano. The farmhouse is cozy and rustic with gorgeous views, large pool, and a nice change from the big hotels. Alessandro is a gracious host, who makes fantastic delicious dinners every other night that shouldn't be missed. There is plenty of outdoor space to sit... More

I've been to Italy seven times. This was by far my most memorable experience! Alessandro and his staff are warm, friendly and attentive. Plus, Alessandro is an awesome cook and, well, easy on the eyes! The dinners were out of this world. The farmhouse, adorable, cozy, authentic, rustic. The views from my room- absolutely incredible. This is, by far, the... More

My boyfriend and parents stayed with Alessandro and his family at their beautiful B&B for four nights. It was better than we could have expected!! The views and location was 10 out of 10. San Gim was our favourite place of Tuscany.. It was so quaint! Alessandro cooked a 3 course meal every second night for guests that reserve a... More

My first view of this property was astonishment. It is absolutely beautiful! The chapel with its beautiful music that bids the traveler come in and meditate is remarkable. However, when our group arrived, uncertainty reigned. Despite arrangements made long in advance, there seemed to be confusion and we waited interminably for rooms to be assigned. Despite the fact that the... More

Every year since 2000 we have choosen "Il Casale del Cotone" as our holiday destination because of the great location itself and the various possibilities for short trips in the near tuscan environment. As always we received a warm welcome at "Il Casale del Cotone". Alessandro, his familiy and the whole team did their very best to make our stay... More

Excellent is the rating we give Il Casale del Cotone! We felt welcomed and well cared for by the staff and host, Alessandro, who gives more than 100% to make this bed and breakfast so wonderful.
