We stayed at this agriturismo(????) during our last trip to Tuscany. We have travelled a lot in Italy and another two times in Tuscany always staying in agriturismos. Well....1. The rooms are nicely decorated and the common places also.... However they are humid... Really humid. During our stay the weather was cold and rainy. The owner did not switch on... More

Everything was perfect! The hosts are delightful and very helpful and the food they made was to die for! Loved the environment, really made our trip special. Very quaint, there were 4 of us, so we got two rooms-was slightly hot at night, but the open windows provided a great breeze to cool down.

Paradise found! Having driven from Rome to Casolare di Libbiano after an overnight flight from Canada in early October, we were looking forward to an evening of relaxation, fine food and good wine. Our arrival at the Casolare did not disappoint. We had read other reviews about the dirt road leading to this B&B, so we were well prepared. All... More

Twenty-five years ago we spent our honeymoon at Il Casolare, only a couple of months after it had opened. Returning now, on a holiday to mark our silver wedding anniversary, there was always the possibility that it might have gone downhill in the intervening years. Far from it! I Casolare is now even more entrancing than it was then, Andrea... More

We arrived in San Gimignano and followed a map along the road (about 5km) from town to turn down an unpaved road. Heading down this unpaved track our initial trepidations were soon overwhelmingly overturned with a magnificent stay with Andrea and Berta. The rooms were immaculately clean and the sizable, providing a perfect place to base yourself for Tuscan adventures.... More

We returned to Il Casolare after 18 years and found it even more captivating than the first time. Berta and Andrea have created a place of beauty and peacefulness. At every turn there are flowers and fruit trees, small private terraces. Our suite, Canonica, and its adjacent sitting area was beautifully appointed. Chef Carlos, along with Berta and Andrea, produced... More

This beautiful old farmhouse, tucked away in the heart of the Tuscan hills is a little paradise. Run by Berta and Andrea, who are charming and wonderful hosts and who make almost all their own produce for their wonderful meals it is a place to really chill out by the pool, surrounded by fruit trees and flowering shrubs or quietly... Anytime you're traveling thousands of miles from home to a foreign country and staying in a 800 year old farmhouse, there's always some trepidation and anxiety. Well I can tell you that all of our anxiety melted away within 5 minutes of walking up towards Casolare di Libbiano and being happily greeted by the owner Berta. Berta and Andrea are... More

I couldn't say enough wonderful things about Il Casolare di Libbiano and about Berta and Andrea. We were a group of six adults who had the pleasure of staying there for 4 nights, each in a unique and beautiful suite: Campagnola, Alba, and Dependence. The entire place was breathtaking and truly felt like a home away from home. From the... More

Berta & Andrea were very welcoming and were very helpful on our trips around the area. Florence, Sienna and hilltop towns were within 1-2 hrs drive but with such stunning scenery the drives were well worth the effort. Yet the most outstanding part of the stay at Casolare di Libbiano was the food all freshly made and using many ingredients... More
