We stayed here a couple of night during our Tuscany trip. Although the rooms looks a bit out dated, it works all fine. Donatella, the host of the hotel is the most friendly person you can have in this family owned hotel. She is always there for you. The wine they serve is from their own vineyard. I would recommend... We stayed here for 3 nights and loved it. Donatella the owner couldn't be more friendly or helpful. You can either walk into San Giminano or get the bus. If it's hot the bus is fine. The pools lovely after walking , breakfasts are really good and there's lots to do. We walked the hills for a day(Donatella lent us... More

This is a nice place to stay if you're visiting San Gimignano. All the staff here were very friendly and helpful. Our room was nicely decorated with floral bed spread and drapes. An armoire and desk provide storage. Amenities include a TV, good wi-fi (password protected), a small fridge, and olive scented shampoo and soaps. The bathroom looks to be... More

The location was conveniently just off the highway but with a beautiful back roads way to San Gimignano going uphill through vineyards, olive trees with a scenic view of hillside houses, cypress trees and then the village of San Gimignano coming up before you. The bathroom was spacious, the bed very comfortable and the room was very clean. The breakfast... More

This hotel has a great location near San Gimignano and town is easily reached by bus in minutes. You can also walk the back gravel road that takes 20 minutes and offers beautiful photo opps of the city on the mountain as well as the valley. This hotel is clean, safe and very friendly. Maria makes a wonderful breakfast that... More

We spent two nights at Le Colline and absolutely loved it - this is due, in no small part, to Donatella. She really couldn't do enough for us (asking us if we wanted anything to eat or drink whilst we were lounging by the pool) and was so lovely in telling us what were the highlights of the local area... I remember this hotel of the hostess/receptionist. She was most helpful and always of great smile. Due to early summer, the rooms were a little damp and cold. Otherwise the hotel was nice, breakfast was good and the restaurant, which we did not have time try looked very attractive.

Donatella is the warmest and most gracious hostess we have had the pleasure of meeting. Her own wine, from her vineyard, was fantastic. It was smooth and full bodied. Just wish we could have taken cases of it home. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The meals in the adjoining restaurant were outstanding. The staff was charming and friendly. Although... More

This hotel is not far from the old town of San Gimignano which is well worth a visit. There are wonderful, friendly and helpful staff who told us where we should go and what we should see. We found a clean, comfortable room with a lovely courtyard garden. It is perfect for a short stay in Tuscany. It is we'll... More
