we stayed for 5 nights in September and loved the place. the staff here are marvellous....Francesca is the most friendly, caring and funny person we met on our italian tour whilst Teresa has a great sense of humour. the views over the tuscan landscape with san gimignano as a backdrop are exactly as shown on their website. The rooms are... More

We recently completely a delightful stay at Mormoraia. Highlights were: 1. Location and setting is beautiful, and very close to the picturesque town of San Gimignano and other nearby towns. 2. Options to eat dinner on the estate restaurant or the many places in San Gimignano. 3. Beautiful walks through the vineyards and farmlands. 4. Lovely pool area for some... More

When we looked for a place in Tuscany, we weren't able to pick a place. Some were beautiful but very expensive others very typical but seemed like they were old or not well equiped. At some point we started looking at the upscale place and eventually came accross Mormoraia. The pictures we were seeing where so nice that I couldn't... More

Spent part of our Italy trip for mine and my best friends' 50th birthdays at Mormoraia and couldn't have been happier. What an amazingly beautiful place with the friendliest staff ever!! Our room was in the building between the pool and the goat field and it was clean, comfy, and lovely. Beds were comfortable and the views were breathtaking. The... More

We stayed here on a recommendation from my sister who was here last year. She was spot on with this place. It is absolutely gorgeous. The service was great, food was good, room was the best we had on our trip. The wine was delicious. The views and overall ambiance are incredible. We only stayed one night between visits to... More

Breathtaking. We arrived at dusk, just as the sun was setting, and it was like a fairy tale introduction to room. The farm buildings have been expertly restored and are large and comfortably appointed. Mormoraia is absolutely charming. Lucia is a fabulous chef, Elena and Giusepina in the office and winery could not be more gracious. And Teresa, our waitress... More

We came back for the second year in a row. This is a beautiful agroturismo set deep in the hills around San Gimignano. We stayed in the main house this year and had a room on the top floor; the room was a decent (but not large) size with a fairly big bathroom which had a great rainfall shower. The... More

We stayed a week at this fantastic place. It was a perfect base for exploring Tuscany. Our room and bathroom clean and spacious and the bed very comfortable. We also had table and chairs just outside and deckchairs around the corner - ours was a corner room. Wonderful view of green hills and San Gimignano. The undercover eating area very... More

The grounds are gorgeous with stunning sunset views of San Gimignano, acres of grapes, apricot & olive trees and herbs everywhere. Francesca and Gilberto, in dining, made the trip extra special. The frittatas with potato and rosemary were stellar...and the pecorino fresco with honey was scrumptious with a cappuccino each morning! I loved staying in this rustic, charming respite, but... More
