We have been spending holidays in this place for many years now and still I keep on booking every year! No surprise, it is excellent as ever: wonderful people speaking languages to help you with a broad smile, excellent 'Table d'hôte" with delicious cuisine from Tuscany, and last but not least, excellent wines. This place is also an excellent starting... More

What a difference first impressions can make. We were really looking forward to this stay at Agritourismo Niccolai but were nearly put off from the start. There was no offer of a welcome drink after travelling all day in the heat of an Italian summer ( this we felt odd as the hotel produces its own wine and proved to... More

We were en route to Florence from Siena, took 4 days off to stay at San Gimignano for relax and doing nothing under the Tuscan sun. Selected Torre Palagetto because (1) excellent location, it is within walking distance from the histroric town of San Gimignano, since we are not driving so this is perfect location (2) it has it's own... I can't imagine having found a better place to stay in Tuscany. Although it was a bit difficult for us to find at first, once we pulled in, it felt like we could completely relax into another world. We stayed in the Vernaccia room - and one thing to remark is that the rooms are not anything to write home... More

Agriturismo Niccolai was a fabulous 2 night stop for us after a few nights in Florence. It was a little hard to find, even with sav nav but once we were there it was perfect. The lady at reception (apologies, I can't remember her name) was very friendly and polite, nothing would have been too much trouble. The room, Sauvingon,... More

What we were looking for:
A boutique style vineyard within walking distance to San Gimignano. We wanted a pool and spacious rooms, breakfast included and optional dinner on site.

 General location:
A 10 minute walk to San Gimignano. Just south of town. There is no need to drive to town. A grocery store is also a 7 minute walk. The... More

This place is everything i dreamed a stay in Tuscany would look and feel like. Absolutely a slice of heaven here on earth! The room was simply furnished but very adequate. Our bathroom was really nice. View was breathtaking! I strongly recommend the dinner set meal that they offer. The wines are superb and the food excellent. The place is... More

A lovely place to stay and not too far from town (quite a steep walk, though, if you don't have a car). The room was good with a wonderful view, but we will best remember Palagetto for the lovely wine and Roberta's superb breakfast.
