Although it may be 800 mt from the Leaning Tower, what the website doesn't say is that the walk is along a main road, including a not-so-nice walk through an underpass, which I would not want to do at night. The location of the Grand Hotel Bonanno is a good 15-20 minute walk from the town centre, but only about 10 minutes from the real highlights of Pisa - the Leaning Tower. The service was only average - one of the hotel receptionists was very nice and helpful, but everyone else was rather cold and once or twice, simply rude.... more

Stayed here for 1 night as we were travelling around Tuscany. Near to Pisa airport and 10 minutes walk via the underpass (which is absolutely fine- there is graffitti in every city in Europe!) to the field of miracles. Lovely clean room with flat screen TV and nice bathroom. No problem getting food at after 9pm. Service a bit slow... more
