This hotel is comfortable with excellent breakfast and evening meals although service stops at 9.30pm. The staff unfortunately do not see eye to eye and are argumentative with each other. Although the restaurant and service staff were excellent but both reception staff left a lot to be desired with their lack of warmth and welcome to the hotel and helpfulness... More

In fact, Grand Hotel Bonanno is a rather boring hotel. It definitely lacks charm and personality, but the cheap price outweighs it. The location is just okay. It is relatively far from the center and it takes a longer walk. The hotel is nice and clean, as are the rooms. They are small, but clean and in proper condition. The... More

On arrival we were met by a grumpy reception member of staff who didnt smile, help us with our bags or take us to our room. There were no Instructions in the room on using the safe and air conditioning when I asked at reception, a rather stressed man said "it's very simple!" And then found that neither worked. We... 10 minute walk from Leaning Tower is just about right - but on two very busy streets making communication almost impossible and breathing unpleasant. So expect taxi rides which will cost 10-15 Euro to anywhere in town 1-2 km away (meter seems to be started when calling the company). A "Junior Suite Deluxe" turned out to be two very small... More

Our trip to Pisa was the first stop on our journey through Italy, and our sole purpose of visiting was to see the Leaning Tower. We selected this property due to it's proximity to the Leaning Tower, and in this regard, it did not disappoint. It was a quick 15 minute walk to the complex. The hotel was undergoing some... More

No air conditioning in the spring... No fan, won't turn it on... My sick mother couldn't breathe because of the heat, the didn't care... Twin room wasn't set up as a twin room... Smelly room, dates furniture, dirty bathroom... Rude and uncaring staff. On a very busy street and looks like it would be a dangerous area at night, covered... More

(+) nice meals, friendly staff, pretty good rooms, clean and tidy (-) train in the nearby. By accident I pulled the "alarm string" in the bathroom and therefore for the whole stay we had a SOS signal in our room. As to expect - nobody cared about this alarm signal, so don't put your hopes too much into it.

The hotel is newer than most hotels in Tuscany. Very close to Duomo and Leaning Tower (about ten minute walk) and the University. The personnel were super helpful spoke perfect English and the rooms spacious and clean. Breakfast buffet was excellent. And the greatest surprise: I was flying earlier than the time for breakfast and they had packed a breakfast... More

Stayed here with my family. Good location for the Leaning Tower. The staff were friendly. The breakfast buffet was delicious! They have shuttle (for fee) if you're traveling with family that have huge luggage.
