This hotel has some plusses: The price is good, it's really close to the train station and only a 20-25 minute walk from the tower, and the staff is friendly. However, otherwise it's just average. The shower was tiny, even by European standards. The bed was hard with thin pillows; I didn't sleep very well. The breakfast didn't even have... More

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights last week and had an absolutely lovely stay. To start off this hotel is about a 5 minute taxi from the airport. Once we arrived the staff were very friendly and informative. They gave great recommendations for places to visit and eat. The location of the hotel is a nice walk... More

A lovely hotel, warm, clean and very comfortable. Nice lounge area. Located a short walk from the centre of Pisa away from the tourist sites. Area felt safe. Very good restaurants locally. Breakfast is fine and had all that I wanted (meats and cheeses, cereals etc). Room comfortable and very clean. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Have stayed before and... More

Hotel Alessandro della Spina is a small, friendly, family run hotel in a converted private villa on the airport side of Pisa, but walking distance to the centre, with outstanding accommodation and value for money. We rate it very highly, and will definitely stay again. WiFi is available throughout the hotel at a small supplement. We were two couples having... More

An excellent hotel for the price. Some distance from the main sights of the city but very convenient for the station, which is why we chose it, as we had an early flight and the bus for the airport leaves from the station. The room was very comfortable and the staff very friendly.

Stayed for four nights choosing the hotel due to excellent Tripadvisor ratings and being located about 5 mins walking distance from the local train station. The hotel was very clean and beautifully presented with great character and management and staff were very friendly and helpful speaking excellent English. On enquiring about train times one morning the manager printed a list... More

Just back from a short break in Pisa and as part of the package, we had 3 nights at Hotel Alessandro della Spina. It's located about 5 minutes walk from Pisa Centrale train station and at first glance, looks like a family home, mainly because it once was. On entering, you are aware that in a way it still is... We picked this hotel as we needed somewhere to stay which was close to the train station, but also within easy walking distance to the sights of Pisa. The location isn't the most pleasant for a first timer to Pisa, but seemed safe. We arrived a little early to check in, but were allowed to leave our bags in the... More

We just loved staying here in Pisa (one of 10 stayed at in Italy)- whilst not the most popular town for sights and long stays - it is very affordable and we used it as a base to other towns on day trips etc....It is like a big happy family they are just lovely, the room was spacious and clean.... located a few minutes walk to the train station and centre of town this was a convenient place to stop for a couple of days ad explore the region room was large enough, but same can't se said for the shower, which also fluctuated in temp to the point of frustration. wifi was also touchy and had to be relogged...
