I am guessing that this old building once housed a religious community before being repurposed as a hotel. Maybe that's why the first single room I was shown had a definite penitential quality -- tiny and claustrophobic. Thankfully the delightful Lavinia at the reception upgraded me to a still-simple but much more pleasant alternative. The room was clean, the air... More

Situated in a very strategical position, Casa San Tommaso is not a luxury hotel, but it's clean and comfortable. It is situated at 5 minutes walking from the tower and from the center and it's perfect also for Sant'Anna students. The personnel is kind, but the rooms are very basic. Nice shower. Internet doesn't work properly and you cannot have breakfast... More

We arrived after a late flight and were initially allocated a twin room, even though we had requested a double on booking; this was changed, although somewhat reluctantly, when we pointed this out. It is located a short walk away from the Tower and Duomo in a quiet street. It is in an attractive old building and could benefit from... More

Casa San Tommaso is very close to the Leaning Tower and is great for a quick visit to Pisa. We arrived in the afternoon and left the next morning and it was very easy to walk to the major sights and nearby restaurants. The room was adequate. It had a refrigerator which was good but no coffee or tea making... More

We started and ended our round trip in Pisa and both times stayed in this hotel. The first room (room 102) was relatively spacious and clean, but in the bathroom the door in the shower was missing. The shower itself was small. Also, the room was very noisy and it was impossible to sleep with the window open. The second... More

Tucked away in a quite little street, within a five minute walk of the Leaning Tower, this hotel couldn't be better placed, surprisingly reasonable price to be so close to the main attraction in Pisa. Our twin room was very small but fine for a one night stay, most comfortable beds we encountered on a short holiday in this area.... More

This was a decent hotel close to the Tower. We spent 2 nights on June 29-30 Positive points: - Very close to the tower - Bathroom is spacious, shower large enough - Room large, well decorated, nice looking. - Good price per night. Negative points - Misleading regarding the AC.. this place advertises as having Air Conditioning but it doesn't.... More

We stumbled upon this small hotel quite by accident, and spent a pleasant night in the attic. For location, it can't be beat - it's within three minutes of the Piazza dei Miracoli in Pisa, where the famous tower shares the open space with a beautiful cathedral and baptistery. Nonetheless, because the Via San Tommaso is a side street in... More

Staff were very friendly and speak English. My partner and I stayed here for two nights. Rustic and beautiful. Very quiet street and only a minute away from the tower.
