Beautiful old hotel - service was fantastic and staff very friendly. Had a good sized room with a shared bathroom - but room had a sink and towels etc. Great breakfast. Great place to stay - fullstop. more

I travel to Pisa twice a year on business and refuse to stay anywhere else. Perfect location right on the Arno. Beautiful public rooms with lots of history. Great people behind the desk (the hotel has been in the same family for ages). Rooms basic but adequate. There are more luxurious hotels in Pisa, but they don't make you feel... more

Parts of the hotel are over 1000 years old. Why spoil the large airy rooms by updating them? The tiled floors are cool in the Pisa heat and our room and bathroom was immaculately clean. The staff were all friendly and willing to help us with directions, taxis, buses and bags. Breakfast was varied and fresh. There is a lift,... more

We stayed at this hotel for one night before heading on to Florence and I have to say first impressions were good. The lobby, reception area and hall ways are nice, spacious and well decorated but the room we stayed in (room 308) was quite simply the worst hotel room I have ever stayed in. I got just 3 hours... more

If you want the usual run of the mill hotel don't try the Royal Victoria. It is very very quirky. Set right back in the 1890s all the "halls" are museum pieces as was our bedroom. We had a large room overlooking the river, the beds looked hard and uncomfortable but were in fact very comfy indeed. Breakfast lacking a... more

A great location overlooking the river and just a 10 minute walk to the railway station and the leaning tower. Public rooms were absolutely glorious, with many antiques - felt more like a home than a hotel. A warm welcome and helpfulness of reception staff were good. We enjoyed the aperitivo time from 1800 for 3 euros. We were intending... more

Victoria Hotel is a lovely old, slightly dog eared (which adds to its character), very friendly hotel with lovely river views. Good value. Stayed here twice and would definitely stay here again. The first time we stayed here we checked in well after midnight. The hotel bar (if it has one - not sure) was closed but that was no... more

We stayed here overnight last month and found the accomodation to be everything we expected it to be thanks to TA contributions. Staff where friendly and helpful, particularly for a restaurant after I'd done my research and then discovered none of them where open on Mondays! Breakfast was adequate. Plenty of choice and although not as healthy as the way... more

This was an unusual hotel. Old, Victorian style right on the river. The rooms are decorated with antiques and ours had a great view of the river (through a dirty window). The place is so old that it's hard to tell if the rooms are dirty or just old (I'm going with old). The bathroom smelled awful and we think... more
