Got a room here just hours before we got to Pisa. Thank you Sylvia for holding the room for us. Yes, Rick Steves' says it's a bit tired, and yes the lobby and hall way carpet could use replacing, but the room was fine, and the bathroom was recently re-done I think. We stayed 4 nights, for a combination business and vaction trip. The hotel is right near the Leaning Tower, Cathedral and Baptistry. We could see the tower out our window. Only a couple of hundred metres from the tower with reasonably sized, tired rooms. Bathrooms OK size too, with shower cubicle but no bath, has plenty of hot water and decent pressure. This hotel is run down and the furniture and decor is very old and musty. Breakfast was limited and really the only positive is the location - I didn't mind the dated decor but I did mind the rude reception men. Friendly breakfast lady. After much searching online, we chose this hotel as we felt it was the best of a bad lot in central Pisa. Indeed, the hotel is in a fantastic location for Piazza Miracoli / Leaning Tower.
