We travelled to Pisa for my birthday as a surprise from my boyfriend. The hotel was in a fab location, you could see the tower from our bedroom window and from the roof terrace. The room was very clean if a little dated, but it would have been very opulent in its day. It was perfectly located, the staff were... More

I recently visited a week ago 16th may 2015 what can i say the view from the 5th floor rooftop terrace is amazing you are literally a stones throw away from the tower perfect for taking spectacular pictures, however there seems to be something missing i would recommend as the italians do best with dinning alfresco they may want to... I am just back from spending a night in Grand Hotel Duomo, Pisa. I was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised. The location is fantastic. The hotel reflects the whole area and yes it does seem a little bit tired but you don't expect an ultra modern hotel in an area that... More

The only reason I've given this three stars is because of the location. It is literally a two minute walk from the monument area of Pisa that includes the leaning tower. The hotel is in accessible by cars because it's in a pedestrian area. There are some long-term roadworks going on just outside the hotel. The main entrance to the... More

Yes the decor is a bit tired in places but what a location. The view from the rooftop terrace is fantastic. I did not find any issues with the staff, they were all pleasant to us especially the barman. Breakfast was really nice for a continental breakfast which included boiled eggs and bacon. If you want 5 star then you... More

The location of this hotel is perfect for Pisa attractions and frankly could not be beaten. If like us you just want somewhere to rest your head while you venture out to explore the city then this is for you. The hotel itself is less grand and more grandpa as the décor is very dated and likely hasn't been updated... More

The location makes up for the rooms. The room was on the small side but we didn't spend much time there. The roof terrace of this hotel is perfect to see the tower from. The breakfast was included and was sufficient to sustain our site seeing for the morning. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for its location.

This is a large, old-fashioned hotel near the Leaning Tower of Pisa - wonderful location. Reception staff were not particularly friendly or helpful. Rooms were adequate and clean. Fabulous roof terrace with spectacular views of the Cathedral complex. The breakfast was poor - there was much on offer, but none of it was very appetiising. The coffee was completely undrinkable.... 4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2015

I stayed here for one night on the way to the countryside. I was jet-lagged and it was amazing to be able to see a gorgeous view of the city and tower from the roof without even leaving the hotel. It is a basic hotel but has everything you need, especially considering the price. The showers are hot, the rooms... More

Fantastic location, good value hotel with fabulous roof top area to enjoy the weather and views of Pisa! Staff friendly and polite and the hotel was clean - a room at the front of the hotel should be requested if available!
