Lucca is a lovely city, and the Relais San Lorenzo is very centrally situated, accessable by car within the city walls, The owner/manager Raffaella speaks English, and is very friendly. It's about fifteen minutes walk from the train station, and a little tricky to find because some of the streets in Lucca have medieval twists and turns. A little difficult to find – there is just a tiny brass plaque on the wall next to the huge wooden doors. I’ve posted a photograph to hopefully help any future guests. This is a great hotel, with a fantastic location and a really good price. I would totally reccomend it. We found it nice and quiet, yet only 2 minutes walk to the walls or the shops and bars. The staff are friendly and rooms clean and well kept. A great find - I would not stay anywhere else in Lucca. more
