We stayed at the Relais San Lorenzo during our 2 day stay in Lucca. After a 20 minute walk from the train station (through the walled town)we arrived at the B&B at roughly 02:30pm but were dismayed that the gate up was closed. We wondered what we got ourselves into. I guess we should have read our reservation more carefully,... More

Relais San Lorenzo is an outstanding place to stay in Lucca and I endorse all the positive comments made in previous reviews. The location in the centre of the beautiful old town and about 15 minutes walk from the train station is perfect. (We used the train for day trips to Florence, Siena, Pisa and Viareggio). The building, a former... More

Very nice place to stay on the far end of town (a ten minute walk from main wall entrance). Very clean and the breakfast room was the nicest of our stay. Good beds and nice bathrooms. It is a place I would not hesitate to bring my wife to. They also stock the refrigerator with a two waters, two sodas... More

Danielle, the hostess, was helpful and gracious. The B&B is part of a palazzo. You enter through large wooden doors and see a lovely ceiling fresco. Further, there is a view to the courtyard. On the right is a scrolled gate that leads to the B&B. Walk up the marble steps to the apartment. Inside is a reception desk then... More

Location is perfect, walking distance from all the main sight of the city, and 10min walking for free parking outside the wall. Daniela is an incredibly charming hostess. She made one feel extraordinarily welcome and all her recommendation for restaurants and place of interest were always excellent. The breakfast was sumptuous with every morning different kinds of delicious cakes and... More

We arrived at this place and from our entry did not know what to expect. This charming lady Daniela came downstairs to collect our cases and welcome us. How lovely and hospitable she was. As it was siesta time, she asked us to return later which we did. What a great welcome we then received. Our cases were placed in... More

The San Lorenzo is a tiny B&B tucked over a Museum in the very heart of this ancient walled city. It is a 10-15 minute walk from the railroad station. A massive door leads from the street to a courtyard the B&B shares with the museum. Our room with a great, extremely comfortable king sized bed had its own private... More

What a delightfull place Lucca is. This small b&b was well located a pleasant 20 minute walk, plus a refreshment stop, through the middle of this walled town. The welcome was warm and gracious with a well appointed room. Coffee making facilities in the room. Fridge with free soft drinks and water. How good is that! The breakfast offered a... More

as others have said this small guest house is located above a museum in an old mansion house- this adds a historic charm and grandeur to the place. Room was small but high ceilings gave it an airy feel. Wonderful to have the old shutters on the window to block out all light for a great sleep. Fridge with cold... More

We had a great 4 night stay at Relais San Lorenzo. The location is very central and you can walk to any place in the small town Lucca. Also, you can walk (15 min) to the train station if you want to go to Florence. The room is really small, but is clean and has a nice atmosphere. The breakfast... More
