What a genuinely lovely greeting we received when we arrived at Relais San Lorenzo. I forget the name of the lady but her warm friendly demeanour and helpful attitude, which included the loan of a local guide book in English, was greatly appreciated. I don't think you could get a better base to explore the old town of Lucca and... More

This very comfortable B&B in Lucca was a real treat. We arrived by taxi and the kindly driver took our bags up the 2 flights of steps so finding the entrance was made easy for us. Once there it was lovely. We were given the spacious and elegant Madame Butterfly room which include a lounge area and a private terrace... More

Don't be disheartened when you arrive to a dark locked metal gate leading up a dark stairwell because at the top is a nice little guest house worth staying at! Our room and bathroom were lovely, the breakfast area was decorated so charming, breakfast was also nice. The location was great and the staff were very nice. Would reccommend it... More

We recently stayed in this lovely B & B in Lucca and we were sorry we only had one night. We were a bit early checking in but were able to wait in the lovely breakfast room until out room was ready 30 minutes later. Staff including Daniela were so helpful and friendly, and our room so nice with a... More

I have to admit that upon arrival I thought "what have I done". We arrived to find a locked gate with a dark staircase that looked quite spooky. Once you get up a couple of flights of stairs you are greeted with a lovely, quaint B&B. Our room was lovely. It is very very clean and the staff are all... More

It is very difficult to say enough superlatives about this gorgeous B&B and the lovely lady that runs it, Daniella. It is fantastic! My husband and I were treated to what I can only imagine was the best room and on the bed were long stemmed, red roses for me as it was our 30th wedding anniversary. How thoughtful was... More

The only negative of this review is that we were not able to stay longer. All of the previous reviews are spot on and I would stay here again in a heart beat. The room and bathroom were amazing, ours came with a stocked mini fridge and a lovely balcony. The location couldn't be any better and the parking situation... More

We stayed for one night in the room downstairs with its own entrance. It took us ages to find the place but the staff (mother & son) were great at talking us in on the phone and getting us parked in the courtyard. they were lovely, warm, welcoming and attentive. The room was lovely and full of character, bathroom nice... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Stayed only one night but fell in love with the hotel and Lucca. Danielle is very helpful and welcoming - she provided us with guide books, maps, and recommendations around the area (including info on a local tribute to Puccini concert). Perfect location - short walk to the main shopping street and the Piazza dell'Anfiteatro.... More

We read about this hotel on TA. YES, you enter in same door as museum , but it is well marked. Proprietor Danielle was very helpful. She speaks English. She recommended a great spot nearby for dinner. We met another couple there from Ireland who lived it so much they returned to this place. We too plan to return! Thank... More
