We arrived to find the building was beautiful and were very pleased with our room. They have gone to town on the medieval style and done it very well. We were pleased we chose a superior room with a roll top bath - it was gorgeous! Do be aware though that they use some kind of red cleaning agent on... More

This is the worst place we have ever stayed in. Breakfast was served in an open fronted plastic gazebo with plastic chairs and tables more resembling a camp site. Breakfast food was left out all day with cats and insects milling around. On our first morning it was raining heavily and we were forced to eat breakfast under an umberella... More

Luckily we were wrong! Don't get me wrong it wasn't terrible, I had quite a spacious bedroom and a well equipped bathroom however my friend paid for a deluxe room and had a bedroom with a little kitchen and a balcony but no wardrobe! The decor was cheap, the staff were really friendly. We didn't have any internet connection at... More

I was really looking forward to seeing this BB and we had booked 2x rooms as we were a party of 5 travelling together. The staff except for the owner were lovely and helpful so we were grateful for that but the negatives were as follows: My superior room had a lovely balcony but no cupboard to hang our clothes... We stayed 2 nights at the end of a walking holiday and this B&B was a long walk from the station. We were put on the third floor in a room with skylights and no windows. As the door to our room was exposed to the weather it was noticeable that some of the woodwork had warped and there were... More

We stayed in a downstairs superior room which had big windows and sufficient light. The bed was very comfortable - tiny shower but fine for us anyway. The breakfast was outside in a marquee and was perfectly fine. The internet access was ok. We were not kept awake by noise from other apartments but I did hear people walking around... More

We stayed a week with our two kids and had a wonderful time. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful - the pool is perfect for relaxing. Everything is immaculately kept too and the rooms are roomy and comfortable. It's a 15 minute walk from Lucca but bikes are available to hire. The breakfast is good as well. But the best... More

I stayed one night and they charged me twice! when I called them up to fix the problem, the manager with awful manners asked me to write them an e-mail that he didn't have time that moment as he was taking care of the breakfast! when I asked for the e-mail address he told me to look in their website!... We stayed here early May for 4 nights. It was about 15 min walk from Lucca and we walked in each day. Stefano is very helpful in giving directions to the local stores and gave us a recommendation to One Penny for dinner which turned out to be fabulous. We had two rooms and were traveling with our 21 year... More

Not the best place to stay. there is a "medieval" decoration that makes the room very dark. Our room had a small window (30cm) that made us turn on the light even when it was sunny on the outside. The worst thing was to discover that the walls are of some kind of material that don't isolate the noise. We... More
