This bed and breakfast hotel is a 15 minute walk outside the city walls in a quiet suburb. I had a double room which was spacious and had a good size bathroom, sans bath. There is a kitchen which has free coffee and teas on tap and a cooker and microwave should you choose to do you own food. It... More

We really enjoyed our three night stay in Lucca. We made a day trip to Florence which was wonderful. This hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the train station. We also walked to the town wall and walked the circuit and then had a look through town. There is a wonderful cafe next door for breakfast. If you are... More

We found the room more spacious and reasonably priced than many places we stayed on this trip. It is next door to an amazing bakery. We stayed three nights and walked to the old city of Lucca every day. We enjoyed our visit very much.

This was simple accommodation which was clean and comfortable. It was serviced everyday which is nice and even though the bathroom was very small, it was very clean and newly renovated. There was a fridge in the room and with the use of the equipment from the communal kitchen down stairs, you could, at least prepare a meal if you... More

We spent two nights at this hotel using it as a base to visit Lucca, Pisa and Cinque Terre. There was free car parking in the hotels car park. We were able to walk to Lucca easily. Access from and to the freeway was trouble free. The hotel itself was perfect for our travelling requirements. A clean comfortable room, a... More

We cannot understand some of the reviews which attracted us to stay here. The building is in a run down area. Yes in walking distance to the old city. The receptionist was very helpful and pleasant and had made sure a parking space was available, as we had requested, Thank you.! But the reception area smelled of sewerage. The interior... More

We spent a week at Stella, conveniently located just outside the walls of the beautiful city of Lucca. There was parking on site, but no need for a car with everything in walking distance. Our room was very clean and comfortable, spacious and quiet. The bathroom was large and it was great having a fridge. The owner and staff were very... More

We loved our stay in Lucca and used this hotel as a base for 10 days to visit San Gimignano, Siena, Florence, Pisa and Perugia. It was good value for money; very clean; the bed was very comfy; was good to have a fridge in the room; and the bathroom was huge with fantastic shower pressure. We were lucky our... More

A lovely friendly clean hotel within easy walking distance of the old town walls. Ideal for visiting Pisa, Florence and Viareggio as both the bus and railway station are within walking distance. Lots of lovely little cafes and restaurants in Lucca and an excellent pasticerria next to the hotel. The communal kitchen was a bonus. Good to have such a... More
