We stayed 10 nights in late June as part of our honeymoon and it was the perfect place to stay. Beautiful, peaceful location on a mountain-side yet remarkably convenient for getting about because of the station at Diecimo by the river at the end of the valley (direct Lucca, for Pisa, Florence, Viareggio etc) which saved us having to drive... We stayed for 6 nights in August 2014 and wow, what can we say? Utter perfection! Location was idyllic, accommodation was charming (as were Adrian and Christopher!) which all contributed to the best holiday we've ever had. We stayed in the beautiful small 1 bed cottage which has everything you need if you want a lazy week of doing nothing... More

We are from Germany and Switzerland and spent a wonderful week at this place. It is perfectly situated in a little pristine valley, surrounded by nature. The houses themselves are beautifully little stone cottages, with an ambiance that makes you direclty feel at home. A very considerate gesture was the welcome basket from our hosts Adrian and Christopher that let... More

We recently returned from a week in this glorious little oasis in the Tuscan hills. It is the perfect place to recharge batteries and reset life. Il Forno is small but perfectly formed - just what we were looking for. The setting is gorgeous and the surrounding scenery stunning. There are great local restaurants and also really easy travel to... More

Just come back from 10 days in this lovely Tuscan retreat. It is a little gem. Our hosts, Adrian and Christopher made us so welcome and gave us some great advice for trips and restaurants - all of which was taken up on. The scenery is stunning, the food and wine glorious, we couldn't have done better. We have been... More

We stayed here for a week in summer and thoroughly enjoyed it. Wads a different perpespective, cooler climate and forested mountains, compared to southern Tuscany. It is tucked away in the hills and feels very peaceful and remote, but is still only 20mins drive from Lucca and an even shorter trip to good restaurants in close by villages. The villas... More

Had a wonderful week in may at this tuscan retreat. Very very friendly and wonderful hosts, and such beautiful houses in a perfect setting. Could not ask for more in any regard. Good restaurants close by. Car needed for going here though. Would recommend this place to anyone, anytime. /Frans, Sweden

Just home from a wonderful week in La Stella the perfect cosy hide away in the tuscan hills. From the minute we arrived we felt relaxed and at home in this stunning cottage on the hillside. Adrian and Christopher the owners have filled the cottages with everything you could need and in such a lovely boutique style. The welcome hamper... More

My boyfriend and I have just got back from Borgo and just did not want to leave, both agreeing that it was by far the best holiday we had ever been on. We stayed in the main house which was so thoughtfully organized with everything you could possibly need. The house itself and the surroundings are beautiful and despite us... More
