We were so happy with Le Violette. It was very close to the station and well situated within the walls. Just loved the big doors. Walk up the stairs was a trial, but we did have heavy cases. The host was a delightful lady, with limited English but with my little Italian we made out just fine. She was so... More

It's a short walk from the train station, up a flight of stairs. I asked for a single but got a double at the same price. It came with a fan and was quiet. Had to share the bathroom. The owner was helpful and courteous and spoke decent English. I was relatively happy, but don't expect anything other than basic amenities.... More

We arrived in Lucca after more than 30 hours of travelling, we arrived early but our hostess greeted us warmly even though our room wasn't ready. We were not worried but started to help make the bed, she was thankful for our help but in broken English told us not to worry as she would do it. We stayed here... More

The accommodation was fine. A little older, but full of character and clean. My main issue with the accommodation was the noise level. We could hear loud talking from the restaurant and cafe near the accommodation. Even after closing the window and the shutters, it was still quite loud.

Good basic hotel. Clean, safe, good bed, good breakfast, good service. Walk easily to all of old Lucca. Anna is sweet. Her limited English is not a problem. I would stay again.

After 8 days of European travel, Le Violette was the perfect landing pad to catch a breath and more importantly do some laundry! The proprietress was extremely welcoming and helpful, it was like living in her home as she showed me how to work the washer and dryer. She pointed out the bike rental shop just outside the window and... More

Le Violette is very close to the Porta Pietra, which makes it really convenient to the train station and also for drivers that are dragging luggage into the old town. Although it is simple to find once you know where it is, we had to ask directions the first time after passing it a few times - just a sign... More

Anna and her family were kind and helpful hosts and were one of the best things of this place. The B and B was clean and the beds were comfortable. Our room was quite spacious. We opted for shared bath and there were two clean bathrooms down the hall for 5 or 6 rooms. There were several great amenities like... More

The B&B Le Violette was recently bought from a very social and dynamic Signora who, having turned 70 years old, was ready to retire. This signora found in the current owner, Elisabeth Warren, a similarity that satisfied her desire to pass on the B&B to someone who would enjoy and manage it as she did. We offer a comfortable room and a delightful breakfast. Conveniently located within the intriguing walls of Lucca, yet a minute walk from its train station, we give our guests the best of this charming town as well as the easy accessibility in exploring its surroundings. Free Wi-Fi in the entire B&B. There are free maps to Lucca and its surrounding areas. The host is present at breakfast to give suggestions and advice and is always available by phone for any specific needs. Italian Breakfast is from 7:30am to 10:30am consisting of croissants, bread with butter, jam or nutella, yogurt, cakes and juice with your choice of cappuccino, espresso, tea, caffe latte, American coffee or hot chocolate. The host will usually encounter the guests at check-in and leave them the keys to the building, the B&B and their room so they may come and go as they please. Checkin: from 11:00am to 4:00pm.
