Excellent hospitality Behind the plain exterior is a beautiful old Italian house with lots of character. Clean throughout. Breakfast lovely served in yet another lovely part of the house. Garden area really nice with pool. Parking was not a problem. Would definitely stay again.

We arrived in Luca without any booking only to find everything was fully booked. The tourist office found Casa Biancalana who came to our rescue. They collected us as it is some distance from the centre of Luca. The house is very beautiful both inside and outside-secluded and tranquil. The breakfasts are amazing with so many delicious home made cakes!... More

My family stayed overnight at Casa biancalana and we had a beautiful experience. Kids loved it as we did. Yes it is a bit oldish and may not have all commodities you find in a new venue but the house is extremely charming, the hosts are very welcoming and friendly, and you find yourself in a true relaxing environment. Breakfast... More

Very nice, rustic and charming.beautiful old building. The garden is like a fairyTale, beautiful ,mystic and the pool is great. The room was perfect for the three of us and the kitchen had everything we needed. It is a bit far to go foot in to Lucca, need to take a taxi our have a car. No restaurants in walking... More

We booked a family apartment for seven nights, self catering and had a wonderful week enjoying the sunshine in the pretty and private garden with pool, exploring the town, churches and history of Lucca, and visiting the Cinque Terre for the day. Our hosts were friendly and charming without being "too friendly" and gave us free use of two bicycles... More

We stayed at Casa Biancalana in July with our family and spend a lovely 5 days. Attilia and her husband are both lovely and warm persons, always prepared to help. The house is just a few kilometers away from Lucca. Tip: rent a Vespa or a car because it is just a little too far to go on foot. The... More

I stayed at Casa Biancalana several years ago with a friend and we had four fantastic days. This year I took my husband back to celebrate our second anniversary and overall we had a lovely stay and I would definitely go back again. That said when we first arrived I was quite disappointed. The rustic charm that I remembered was... More

We spent 6 wonderful nights here-couldn't ask for more. Attila's hospitality is second to none.Breakfasts are fit for a king and our room was outstanding. We had our a rental car so were able to go on lots of day trips.

My husband and two older children stayed at this hotel/Villa for 4 nights at the end of september. What a lovely secret hotel, although it was very difficult to find even with the Sat Nav as it is on the busy road and you can go past it easily. The garden was my favourite area with a small pool and... More
