The location of this apartment is ideal for those wanting to be in the heart of Lucca. The grand door on the busy shopping street leads you to 4 flights of stairs. The B&B is light, airy, chic, clean and a perfect base to help you explore wonderful Lucca. The owners are delightful and can't do enough for you. We... More

After a disaster with our initial accommodation we were grateful to find Casa Alba in a great central location with a spare room for 4 nights. Room was a decent size, with en-suite and comfy bed. Air-con was good as it can get pretty hot in Lucca. Owner was friendly and helpful providing some good tips on restaurants and things... More

This was a very cute bed and breakfast. We stayed in room 4 with private bath across the hall. Everything was very clean and neat. Beds and pillows comfortable. Great location - close to everything. Staff very kind and helpful. The only negative is it is on the fourth floor with no elevator. Would stay here again. Great value.

This is a tiny B&B located in the heart of Lucca. It's on the shopping street, in a door and up 3 flights of stairs. Not a place for people with heaps of heavy luggage or trouble climbing stairs. It is just a small b&b, and when we came there there was no one there. But the number was on... More

Nobody there when we arrived after midday and contact numbers didn't work. Thanks to neighboring businesses help we managed to contact the member of staff who was helped us with the luggage up the 4 flights of steep stairs. We were disappointed to be shown to a shabbily furnished room with a cracked washbasin in the en-suite,loose floor tiles and... More

Very friendly staff. He recommended a couple of places to eat and they were great. The rooms are very simple and clean. The location is fantastic, very close to everything. Just make sure to arrange your arrival time ahead of time since there is only one person there in the morning.

The room was, not terrible in itself, but it wasn't heated, in, and I and a family also staying in the place were unable to contact the owner or anyone else for help. This is a serious problem, and instead of an apology I received a disturbing e-mail response from the owner; I really don't recommend that anyone entrust themselves... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at Casa Alba over the Easter holidays, and loved the charming structure of the building, the lovely home made breakfast, the immaculately clean rooms and especially the warm welcome from the owners. Alba and Giuseppe, who own and run the B&B, are lovely people, who made us feel looked after and went out of their... More

A very enjoyable stay in this charming accomodation, excellent location (in Italys best kept secret) with a warm welcome and all the local knowledge you will need courtesy of Marta. Simple, friendly, well situated. We loved it.
