I spent two nights at Al Tuscany in October 2014. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the walled city. I had a large double room on the top floor with a view over the rooftops of Lucca. The room was very nicely decorated and the bed was firm, but very comfortable. So far, so good. On the... More

We enjoyed our recent stay at Al Tuscany. Claudio is the best. He went out of his way for us so many times, including making two trips to the train station with us when we left. The communal breakfast room gave us an opportunity to visit with other travelers. Breakfast was more than adequate. The rooms vary but all were... More

Stayed 2 nights at this Bed & Breakfast mid September. In an ideal position in the old town, close to all the Piazza's and sites. It is a very old building with furnishings to match so do not expect light, minimalist decor. We had a large room (suite) although we didn't book this, with a glorious view over the roofs... More

My husband and I stayed for one night. Fab location. Room was spacious with an ensuite. Had some slight issues with the lock on our door however the staff were efficient and ran to show us how to sort it! Really lovely hospitality. We were able to leave our luggage whilst looking round the town. We didn't eat breakfast as... More

Claudio was the best host you can wish for! We were supposed to stay for 1 night and ended up staying 3. Our room wasn't the biggest but it had all the commodities we needed and we've seen the massive beautiful suits, totally worth the extra pennies a night! Breakfast is great, offering from fresh pastries to lovely fruit salad.... More

We arrived at the appropriate door, and was buzzing, but no answer after waiting for some time, a young lady stops and asks if we are staying at Al Tuscany, we say yes and she actually works for them so opens the door and takes us up. There are some very dark dank stairs or a tiny lift, one person... More

We just stayed for one night and this is a great base right in the centre of town. Very good value with a huge breakfast choice and lots of helpful tips from our host. The room decor is old world charm yet with a very comfortable bed, air conditioning and a new bathroom. Tip - the restaurant he recommended was... More

We spent two nights at "Claudio's" Al Tuscany B&B in the heart of Lucca. The B&B has a lot of character, and Claudio was able to accommodate us with a very nice room for three people. He greeted us upon arrival with tea and snacks and was very kind and helpful the entire time we were there. This B&B is... More

Total chaos! From the first moment to the last, this was not a good experience. The place was in such a state of disarray I did not feel safe. It was cluttered with stacks of papers and junk ,it felt like a fire hazard. There was an open shaft on the landing, the door hard to open and close. Lucca is lovely,but... More

Old world charm situated in the walled city of Lucca, close to all facilities, surrounded by beautiful shops and restaurants. The owner is a very gracious and generous host who did his utmost to make our stay an enjoyable and memorable experience.
