I stayed at Al Tuscany in December of 2013 with my husband and sister. Claudio put us up in the largest room at the hotel. The room was so unique and eclectic. Beautiful wooden furniture throughout. Claudio was very welcoming to us and our cousins who came to our hotel to visit. He even offered them breakfast in the morning... More

A budget hotel offering fair value, very well situated at the top of an old house in the heart of Lucca (but with a small lift). It is convenient for both bus and railway stations. The bed was comfortable and there is a wide selection of breakfast goods - better than in many more expensive place and you are invited... More

I reserved a room online but the dates came up as March instead of September. The website called Claudio to try to change the dates but he refused and charged my credit card the full amount for the March stay. Think twice about reserving a room here.

We are lucky to have stayed at this lovely B & B. The host Claudio made us feel at home. As a retired architect he is a very interesting character. Architects are "detail" people, Claudio is no exception! Claudio offered many menus for our breakfast, but when we accepted his kind suggestion for bruschetta we had no idea the taste... More

We stayed at Al Tuscany Bed and Breakfast for only 2 nights, but it was fabulous. Claudio, the owner, is wonderful - he even drove us to the train station - he couldn't do enough to help us out and give us information about the city. Our room was incredible, very spacious and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

I spent two nights at Al Tuscany in October 2014. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the walled city. I had a large double room on the top floor with a view over the rooftops of Lucca. The room was very nicely decorated and the bed was firm, but very comfortable. So far, so good. On the... More

We enjoyed our recent stay at Al Tuscany. Claudio is the best. He went out of his way for us so many times, including making two trips to the train station with us when we left. The communal breakfast room gave us an opportunity to visit with other travelers. Breakfast was more than adequate. The rooms vary but all were... More

Stayed 2 nights at this Bed & Breakfast mid September. In an ideal position in the old town, close to all the Piazza's and sites. It is a very old building with furnishings to match so do not expect light, minimalist decor. We had a large room (suite) although we didn't book this, with a glorious view over the roofs... More

My husband and I stayed for one night. Fab location. Room was spacious with an ensuite. Had some slight issues with the lock on our door however the staff were efficient and ran to show us how to sort it! Really lovely hospitality. We were able to leave our luggage whilst looking round the town. We didn't eat breakfast as... More

Claudio was the best host you can wish for! We were supposed to stay for 1 night and ended up staying 3. Our room wasn't the biggest but it had all the commodities we needed and we've seen the massive beautiful suits, totally worth the extra pennies a night! Breakfast is great, offering from fresh pastries to lovely fruit salad.... More
