5 weeks or so ago, my husband & I have decided to drive from Venice to visit/stay around Tuscany ( using Lucca as our base ) after an 8 days' cruise of the Mediterranean & Adriatic coast. . We have been to many parts of Italy including neighbouring Florence a few times but not Lucca. The hotel is within the... More

This would have received the full 5 stars had the street outside not been rather noisy. The hotel is superb and has some of the nicest staff I've come across. Will definitely be revisiting at some stage. I struggle to believe there is a better hotel in Lucca!! Try it - it's well worth a booking.

We stayed in this charming, small hotel for a week during the music festival. Its a great base if staying in Lucca as its located at the top of the main shopping street within the city walls and it's very easy to walk, or cycle, around town. Reception and all rooms are on the first floor behind a fabulous wooden... More

The hotel is a delight in a really attractive part of the city. We would recommend it to anyone as long as your stay does not include a Saturday night!!!!!!! At the moment the bar next to the hotel run an open air disco on Saturday that finishes at 1 o'clock in the morning and the music is unbelievably loud!... More

Friendly staff and a beautiful old Palazzo but there is a bar directly in front (where our room was) & the doof doof went until 1 am, crowd noise 'till 2! As we booked a triple and told the staff we were traveling with our son, odd to be given a room where it was impossible for to sleep. After... More

Thank you for writing this review! we know, we are in the main street of the town: but, luckily, It is not the same for all guests..some of them leave..some of them stay longer than they booked...many of them are smiling in the morning and just close windows and shutters during the night, and appreciate being in the very heart... We were looked after really well by the staff at the hotel, arriving at about 11 pm. We stayed two nights and the hotel is in an ideal position for exploring Lucca and walking the perimeter walls. The staff recommended the excellent Canuleia Trattoria which was so good we went to twice in a day! The breakfasts were extensive and... More

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one night in late May 2015. Marta, Ingrid and Andrea are very welcoming and helpful hosts. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Great location in a very walkable city. Enjoyed walking the circumference of the old town on the wall in the early morning even though there was... More

The location, Rooms, Breakfast and Staff were all amazing. I would recommend a stay here to my friends. You can walk everywhere in Lucca you need to go from here. They were extremely helpful with advice on tours, museum/ places to go. Everything in the hotel was spotless.

I could not recommend this hotel more highly. My husband and I stayed here for 1 week and found it to be well located close to many good restaurants and shops inside the wall but best of all was the staff with their attention to detail and willingness to assist at every turn....Marta, Ingrid and Andrea you were exceptional hosts!
