When I say hidden it is very tricky to find even with a sat nav but ....... Wow is it worth it! Perched on top of a hill with stunning views of the Tuscan landscape this is a wonderful hotel. We had a warm welcome and our room was ready. The former monastery has been lovingly restored to the highest... More

Found Villa Volpi after browsing the net for small quiet hotels. Fantastic location with great views of the Tuscan hills. Queit location off the beaten track means you will need a car, but as a base for visiting Florence, Pisa and Lucca (don't miss this lovely town) it is well located. Food in the attached restaurant (not part of hotel,... More

Just spent a week in this quite and peaceful hotel. actually booked Castella di Mammoli but got this instead, had a terrible time finding it as it was not on the tomtom. room was clean and toilet lovely. mine host was a bit stand offish and disinterested. evening meal was a 20 euro "special" that turned out to be a... Beautiful place with swimming pool, restaurant and stunning views set amongst olive groves and vines.Marco was a really nice guy, very helpful land made you feel very welcome. Make sure to get to spend some time around the pool as it is a lovely setting. You will need a car to... More

It might be one of the best view hotels, with top panorama viewing over Lucca. We stayed at the suites area. The hotel has several dependances in the same street. On top of the hill, difficult to reach, the suites, where we stayed and the villa volpi hotel. Great services with a smile, nice furniture, bedding and clean bathrooms. The... More

Marco was a great host. Very helpful and welcoming. It's a great, quiet location.. Quite a few bendy roads to it. You need a car. There's no other restaurants near.. A little way out from Luca, 15/20 mins in a car. Great terrace and pool. Typical Tuscan rustic room, nice bathroom .. Their own prosecco wine was lovely. They make it..... More

We booked Villa Volpi after a bit of a mix up with accommodation during a little Tuscan Tour. We arrived at Villa Volpi with ease, using the co-ordinates provided on the website. The accommodation is traditional, clean and comfortable. The communal areas are very pretty with the cherry on the cake the pool and it's simply beautiful view. We were... More

We stayed here only one night while traveling by motorcycle. The main building is decorated as a country retreat, with welcoming rooms in which to relax. Our room featured a rustic ceiling with very old wooden beams. It was simply furnished with very comfortable beds and the bathroom was very nice and modern. The family owns a large tract of... More

We stayed here as part of an anniversary trip. Marco and Andrea were wonderful hosts, going out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and happy. Our room was beautifully rustic. The AC made more noise than cold air, but we just opened the windows of our corner room and enjoyed the cool breeze instead. The room was... More

We booked this hotel the night before due to a change in travel plans. I'm not sure if I've ever stayed at a hotel I loved more. We originally booked at Castello di Mammoli and when we arrived Adriana told us that she thought the suite in Villa Volpi would be better for us. She was SPOT on. (And Adriana... More
