Wow - we could have stayed here for a month. The views upon arriving across the hills of Tuscany is exactly what you want in Tuscany. Our room/guest house was so much more than we could have asked for. The decor of the bedrooms was beautiful and what you expect from a villa built in the 1700's. You were able... More

Vineyards, olive groves, donkeys and so much more are to be found at Hotel Fabbrica di San Martino. Set in the beautiful Tuscan hills overlooking Lucca, with wonderful views from every window and the lovely smell of fermenting grapes, Giovanna and Guiseppe's beautiful 17th century villa and guest house are the perfect Tuscany experience. We stayed in a very spacious,... More

If you are looking for a traditional hotel right in the middle of a city DO NOT stay at Fabbrica di San Martino...But if your preference is for staying at an apartment (with cooking facilities) or a single room type B&B, where the owners will greet you as their visiting friends, close to Lucca yet far from the noise of... While on holiday in the Toscana area we stayed in this beautiful 17 century villa that is currently an aggriturismo. The place consists of a main house and separate apartments. We stayed in the apartment located above the cantina and wine processing area, needless to say we loved the aroma of wine making. Our apartment was spacious and fully self... More

We only stayed for one night which was too short but it was a lovely place to stay and only 10 minutes from Lucca. The views from the apartment are stunning and Giovanna was a lovely host and spoke very good English. We would recommend to our family and friends.

We stayed in the apartment above the cantina (downstairs in the cantina they store/make the wine and olive oil). It is beautiful and quaint and spotlessly clean. Old fashioned. Looks like it was modernised in the 30s! but still very comfortable. Breakfast on the portico of the main house is too special for me to spoil by writing it down.... More

Beautiful! Stunning! Enough superlatives, this place was a little jewel, a peaceful haven in a perfect place, to give us a restful end to an exciting trip. Giovanna could not do more to be more helpful. So friendly and welcoming. Your breakfast view will be tough to beat!! We stayed in the apartments and found them very comfortable and peaceful.... We stayed a full week in the lovely manor house but our first night was in a very noisy apartment with a lot of children on every side! When we moved to the manor room we were very happy. It is beautiful and very peaceful. Lovely breakfast and fantastic scenery. Would recommend

We have stayed in the Fabbrica for almost a week with our family, including four grand parents and two children. All of us have been just excited about the place. It is not only beautiful and amazingly located, but the team of Giovanna and Giuseppe have been doing such a perfect job, that we have been just grateful for these... More

Our stay at this country estate was excellent and exceeded our expectations. The land is beautiful, vineyards and olive trees hundreds of years old. Giuseppe explained the wine making process in such a way that his passion became ours for the time we were there. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. Giavanna was available for our every need. Breakfast... More
