The Villa Romantica is really the perfect way to experience a beautiful Tuscan town if you're not fond of crowds but still want a hotel with everything you need (and more!). Basically, it is like staying with friends or family who have a very clean, quiet, peaceful home and who will never bother you unless you ask for something. While... more

We visited this hotel for three nights in late September 09. The hotel was easy to find by car (being next to the football stadium) and there was plenty of on site secure parking. The hotel itself was spotless, with an elegant feel. Our room was large and tastefully presented, and the bathroom was large and beautifully appointed. The staff... more

We stayed 4 nights in Villa Romantica and loved every minute of it. The hotel is well situated near the walls surrounding Lucca. Their garden is very lovely, their swimming pool such a relief after a hot day. Everything is run well in a discreet and efficient manner. The family/owner is taking the utmost care of all the details, and... more

We stayed at the Villa Romantica for 3 nights at the end of a long Tuscan sumer holiday and were delighted. We stayed in the junior suite with the jacuzzi bath - a very spacious and peaceful room, at the back of the hotel. The Favilla family are charming and very welcoming. The hotel is spotless, the pool area very... more

Hotel is family run and is very good, everyone very friendly and helpful. Location for us was ideal and is a few minutes walk from the town wall which we enjoyed walking round. Access to various locations from the wall can be made at various points and the time to walk from hotel to town centre is approx 9 mins.... more

The whole hotel is beautifully decorated and finished to a high standard. It has a cosy but elegant feel and for us was a bit of a luxury at the end of a Tuscan tour. It was quite expensive (by our standards!) but i was not disapointed. We had a room with an additional sitting room and a balcony, and... more

We spent 3 nights in Villa Romantica as we were going to the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago. The hotel was everything you could wish for -spacious, spotlessly clean, a warm and friendly welcome, brilliant breakfasts with the best coffee ever and 3 minutes walk from the city walls. There is a car park, a small swimming pool and... more

We loved/loved/loved Villa Romantica. Since we were not planning to rent a car, it's central location near a gate and the walls of Lucca were essential. The Villa has an ample parking area if you need it however. The Villa is well placed in a private comfortable setting with many trees and a nice pool area. It is close to... more

My wife and I wanted a small, comfortable hotel to stay in for our anniversary trip to Tuscany. We stayed two nights and had the superior double room. Our room was a very nice size and very clean. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly. The location was easy to find and nearly perfectly located, just a short walk to... more
