Montecatini Terme is 5 minutes from the main motorway halfway between Florence and Pisa. It is a great place to stay and explore both of these cities and others such as Lucca. I think the previous reviewer missed the point with this hotel. This is a slice of heaven if you want a family-run, authentic Tuscan hotel. There are not the bland international menus, flash pool/sauna/gym here. Instead you have genuine Tuscan food cooked in the Italian way. All fresh produce daily.
