Small hotel with personal service. Comfortable rooms in an old building with pleasant modern en-suite bathrooms. Only criticism is lack of storage for clothes in the rooms and absence of towel rail for hand towels in bathroom. Plenty of choice in buffet breakfast and WiFi that actually works in the rooms. Recommended as conveniently situated in South of old town.

We found this hotel/bed and breakfast on Tripadvisor, and it lives up to the great reviews we found. It is small and personal, tucked away in an alley close to the city wall. Everything is carefully tended, the public spaces, the flowers, the eating area, and the rooms themselves. Our party of 3 stayed in Vonda (the rooms/suites are named)... More

Staff all very friendly and helpful, breakfast very nice continental. Room had been recently renovated, spa bath, mood lighting in bathroom, a little short of wardrobe space though. Excellent location, just yards from Piazza Napoloene, close to Duomo. Small patio outside front door very useful as an outdoor space. Unexpected bonus : we had to leave before breakfast on the... We spent five nights at this charming hotel in April. The rooms were spacious and had fridge, tv and free wi fi (no kettle though which would have been a bonus). It was at first difficult to find up a side street ( it is actually off the Via Garibaldi) but the welcome was warm and friendly. All the staff... More

Cozy place with a very sweet and discrete entrance. We spent only one night here in what is supposed to be a room suited for people with wheelchair, right behind the counter of the entrance. Big room with big bathroom inside. Some 'frescos' on the wall that did not appeared cheesy and modern wooden floor. In the morning can be... More

Thank you for your kind words and for your visit! The room on the ground floor is one of our new rooms; it is very comfortable and perfect for people with heavy luggage or preference for no-stairs. We hope to welcoming you in the future and show you the rooms on the upper floors! Ciao e Grazie! More

I really enjoyed the albergo San Martino : the situationis ideal to start a walking tour un the inner walled city of Lucca. Two other facilities on the same management complete the rooms offer : the Albergo Diana and a B&B just nearby. The lobby and rooms of the San Martino are very nicely decorated ! Fabrizzo at the desk... More

We spent a couple of nights in this delightful former brothel where Fabrizio provided a warm welcome. Our superior room, Nucca (each room is named after one of the former brothel's ladies), was just up the stairs from the breakfast area and we felt more as though we were staying in a friend's villa. Beamed ceilings abound but our bathroom... More

We stayed here for 2 nights on a Backroads tour around Tuscany. Fabrizio made sure we all had a great stay and couldn't have been more welcoming. Our room was excellent (Nucca) and the quiet location was perfect for walking in and around Lucca. ( 5 min to the daily Puccini concert venue, so put this on your list ).... More

i loved this little accommodation in lovely Lucca. The staff was so charming and accommodating, the breakfast the best we had. I and a friend were on back-roads tours and I was very pleased with this property. My room on the third floor had a little balcony which was charming. I must say, be sure you scope out the way... Did a Backroads tour and this was one of the most charming accommodations at which to stay. Fabrizio is the host and nothing is too much trouble for him. Beds were comfortable, food amazing and the area of Lucca is just too beautiful. Do yourself a favour and put this incredibly comfortable accommodation on your list of places to stay... More
