We have just returned back to dreary old England after a wonderful week spent in Tuscany, at the fabulous Al Porto di Lucca B&B. Having always stayed in hotels near Lucca in the past, we decided to try this B&B instead, and we were so glad we did! Everything about our stay was perfect, from the location, just far enough... Loved our stay in Al Porto di Lucca. Pleasantly surprised to find kind and friendly hosts who met all our needs (and with a little child we had a few), large clean rooms, luxurious comforts in the room matching any high class accommodation, good and varied breakfast mixing Italian food with continental breakfast items, perfect location at 2 minutes walk... This B&B is probably the nicest, friendliest establishment in my travels The breakast is OUT OF THIS WORLD! I was very excited to have scrambled eggs/omelet being that they don't traditionally serve that anywhere in Europe for breakfast. I would stay here again just to eat breakfast. The accomodations were great. The sheets/towels were heavenly. I look forward to traveling... More

Stayed here for two nights in October 2013. The room was spacious and comfortable with plenty of storage. The sheets and towels were luxurious and soft. We had a large balcony with deck chairs overlooking the beautifully manicured gardens. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, served by Giovanna who was cheeful and friendly. It is located within a very short distance... More

Although we had read glowing reports of Al Porto di Lucca, we were unprepared for the cordiality, helpfulness and generosity of our hostess Giovanna. Her obvious love of Lucca she shared with us, offering valuable suggestions on the blessings and lesser-known jewels of this wondrous city. Our room, small by American standards, offered a beautiful view of the garden below' The... More

When you walk in the door it is such a welcoming place. Beautiful glassed-in breakfast room overlooking the lawn & garden. They have bikes too and Lucca is such a bike friendly place. And what a fabulous breakfast! The couple who own this b&b are so nice and their attention to detail makes your stay so wonderful. The b&b is... More

We chose this B & B based on previous reviews and its location. Close to train station and just over the railway bridge to walls of Lucca. Was a great choice. Very friendly and helpful hosts, confortable spacious room. Super to have facility to make a cup of tea ( even a little cake there) and a great breakfast. Recommended.

Stayed here for two nights in early October 2013. I chose this B&B as it is located close to the train station (you can cross over by tracks via a raised pedestrian bridge, making it less than a 5 min walk), and I was concerned it would be noisy, but quite the contrary... it is quiet and peaceful. I arrived... More

We stayed here 28th and 29th September 2013 to see the World Road Race Championships. Francesco and his wife were perfect hosts. This has got to be the very best B&B for miles around. Breakfast - plenty of it, beds - very comfortable, so easy to find from the station. If you want to close to Lucca but not inside... More

My Wife and I stayed here for two nights during our Tuscany vacation and we cannot recommend this house enough! Close to train station and city walls for walking, also close to 2 supermarkets and a self-service laundry, this place had everything a traveler needed within waling distance. We had no difficulties as Francesco and Giovanna helped me with directions,... More
