A last minute accommodation booking in Lucca that ended up being a lovely stay. Staff are super friendly and helpful (thanks Irene)! Rooms are basic yet cozy. Breakfast is nicely displayed with a number of fruit, pastry and sandwich options. I wasn't able to stay but took some treats for the road. The B&B is nicely located and is about... More

Located just inside the walls, this small family run hotel was a very good location to explore Lucca for two days. The rooms were comfortable, breakfast above average and during nice weather breakfast was outside in the garden. It was a short walk to the historic centre. Pallo was extremely helpful in recommending various activiies and restaurants and all his... More

Clean and comfortable. Close to all the shops and restaurants. Lucca is very pretty and we loved walking around and meeting the locals. Liked how independent we were at the B&B. If you want more attention a hotel is maybe for you. The breakfast was perfect. Thank you Irene for your hospitality.

First visit to Lucca and were fortunate to discover this gem of a bed & breakfast. The property is ideally located within close proximity to the wall and all the other delights of this beautiful Tuscan city. Our suite was spacious, comfortable and exceptionally clean. Breakfast was good with a selection of fresh fruit, cereal, pastries and other items. There... More

This was our second visit to Il Seminario. It has the best beds I have ever experienced in a hotel or guesthouse of this type- they are memory foam! The rooms are clean and generously sized. The breakfast isn’t amazing- not really many fresh ingredients- and the last time we were given what certainly tasted like a cappuccino made with... More

My boyfriend and I (aged 26) Stayed One night in Il Seminario Bed & Breakfast, Paolo owner of the place greeted us when we arrived, He explained about the important places in the city and gave us a map, That halped us a lot. Good: + The only place(!) in Italy where we got a good duvet! And really warming... More

First the good. Close to train station and inside the walls of Lucca. Second, the breakfast and staff were fantastic. Also quiet and secluded away from all the busy streets. Now the not so good. The comforter covering the bed had all the inside feathers coming out. Why the staff did not notice this is beyond me. The water was... More

I stay the room in June, 2013. The hotel is not far from the train station. The room we stay can accommendate three people and the space of the bathroom is big ( the odor is good-smelling). I like the interior design at the reception (Orchids there). The breakfast is also good. The host and hostess are both nice people.... More

We arrived in Lucca by car and discovered that the Hertz office was as far across Lucca from our hotel as it could be. After a bit of a trudge (and after asking directions from a lovely nun who actually escorted us all the way to the hotel), we arrived at the Il Seminario. What a wonderful, warm welcome we... More

We came to Il Seminario on the last night of our honeymoon, after staying on the Riviera in a 5* hotel. To be honest, I think the service we received at Il Seminario was so much better than any other. On arrival, our congenial host Paolo took his time to help us unload, explain the (free) parking system and assure... More
