We stayed at Villa Cheli in and around our wedding in May. We had arranged for several guests to stay here all of which were delighted with the hotel and would all love to stay again. The hotel is excellent value and is in a nice location close to Lucca.

Stayed 1,5 days in the villa, probably staying there is much better during the season where can enjoy swimmpool and other staff but place is nice, close to city and in area of other villas and restorants. Poor wifi and more flexible and helpfull staff is needed to feel more relaxed there...also poor choice of good Tuscan wines in restorant...

My sister and I chose this hotel because we planned to have a rental car in order to see both Lucca and Pisa which looked to be easily accessible from the hotel. (It turned out to be way more complicated getting in and out of Lucca and parking outside the walls than I thought it would be even after I... More

We stayed in Villa Cheli for 3 nights and had a lovely relaxing time. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious, varied and plentiful. The masseuse who works in the spa was excellent, I would highly recommend it. Our room was lovely, clean and had all we needed. The pool is lovely. Lucca town is only a... More

Booking.com did a mistake by ordering an economy room instead of a superior. since it was our honeymoon the amazing receptionist was so heartfelt and gave us a bigger room with a view, the hotel is very romantic, clean and most of all have a true Italian soul. although we didn't get the room we wanted the hotel is amazing... Dear 203hagart, we are very happy of your words. The online booking sites are very convenient and easy to use but often they do not help us to give the best service to our guests. There are very strict contracts for which we have to ensure room availability even when availability is not the real one.. Therefore we always advise... More

What a gorgeous setting! This 18th century villa is nestled on the slopes of these gorgeous green hills. The best view is from their fabulous swimming pool area. We were here is the summer, so were able to have dinner on the terrace. Nice dinner menu with traditional Tuscan dishes. Great value! And so close to Lucca!

We stayed in a 4 bed room in the main building and my parents had a 2 bed apartment. The location is quite beautiful set back off the road up the tree lined drive. The villa has a lot of history, the origins go back to the 12th century. a previous owner was a sculpture and he left numerous sculptures... More

My husband and I first found this gem when we were traveling for our 25th anniversary 2 years ago. We were in Italy last week and needed a one night stay on route to Florence. We booked and took our friends and we all loved it again! The rooms are very authentic as you would expect from staying in an... More

We visited Lucca wanting to explore the city but not to stay in the centre. We had a car and so practically it was perfect. The drive up was impressive in itself - we couldn't believe our luck. We were told by the receptionist 'the pool is open - all of the time!!! ' so we relaxed, swam, sunbathed and... More

I come to Lucca several times a year on business and have tried numerous hotels over the years. This trip the hotels in Lucca Centro were full because of the July music festival so I stayed at the Villa Cheli. It is a few km out of town so you need a car or taxi to get around. The villa... More
