This is clean and comfortable, rooms cleaned and sheets changed every day, staff are friendly. What we especially like is that the hotel has a small library..... The books are mainly 'holiday reads', light reading, but I found some interesting books and I thought it was such a good idea to provide a library for the guests. The breakfasts are... More

It is easy to walk past the front of the hotel and think it is another shop! It is near bus stops to and from the station and seafront. It is near restaurants, shops and markets. Very central, Note there are a few steps up the entrance and then a good lift. Breakfast was okay, but staff clear up before... More

The hotel is well positioned in the middle of Livorno, and our group of 20 received a very fair group rate. The staff was mostly helpful, and breakfast was certainly adequate. The rooms were very heavy with a smoke smell and we were told that no non-smoking rooms were available.

The hotel is handy both for the town centre and the port. Breakfast was good and starts early which was good as we got an early ferry crossing. The room was also good with an excellent shower. The staff were also very helpful.

My wife and I traveled to Livorno for our wedding. We had a whole apartment to ourselves elsewhere, but my wife's family stayed in Giappone Inn. It was a great spot close to the city center and a few footsteps away from all the shopping! We had some problems with the wifi but the Hotel's staff was very helpful and... More

Expensive hotel with creeps on the beds keeping you awake whole night because of all the itching! The hotel does not even have parking slots despite the nane and breakfast was awful! Atleast 80 euros a night is too expensive for this hotel even for Italy!

Ground floor reception was friendly and helpful, coffee machine, WiFi and lift all working and my budget room was cleaned daily and towels replaced. The shower was hot, the bed comfortable and the TV worked. French doors opened onto a small balcony at the back of the hotel with a view into the street below, letting in light and the... More

We stayed at Hotel Giappone Inn for 2 nights, and two hungry mornings. The "breakfast" consists of a coffee machine, a few battered crossaints and a cereal dispenser Sellotaped together. The staff are extremely rude. The wi-fi system is a complete and utter nuisance. There is a lack of shower curtain. And a weird washing line in the bath. Only... More
