Stayed one night before leaving for Sardinia. The hotel is old and not worth it's money. Beds are too soft. Internet work okay but TV isn't at all up to date, The hotel had several suspicious guest who was hanging around in ashore area on the first floor. They didn't look like guests which wasn't the best solution for feeling... More

great little hotel, conveniently located for bus routes and sightseeing. The service was great, owner went out specifically to get me food for breakfast which was gluten free. free WIFI is always a plus and it is available on the first and second floor (along with a computer available for use on the first floor). The elevator only goes to... More

My girlfriend booked 1 night here for us. When we arrived the owners started shoeing us out of the door until we managed to explain we had a booking. The room was dirty and the staff unhelpful or just ignored us. The worst place we stayed in Italy by far. Livorno isn't worth a visit despite being called little Venice.... More

Our family LOVED this hotel. The location is fantastic- close to everything, near restaurants and clothing stores etc. The staff was super friendly and helpful, recommending the best restaurants and beaches. There was a complimentary breakfast in the morning with cappuccinos, cereals, meat/cheese, croissants etc so everyone got something they like. The room was big enough (bunk beds for kids,... More

We needed a place to stay for one night before taking the ferry to Corsica, and I don't think we could have chosen better in a small, relatively untouristed town such as Livorno. First of all, the photos on the hotel's website do not do justice to just how good this place looks on the inside. It's very charming and... More

We drove from Lake Como to Rome this trip and meandered a bit on our way down. Found Hotel Ariston on the web. Looked like a nice place right on the main square (Plaza Republica) and had a descent rate of 129 Euros for a quadruple room. As we were just crashing for the night, we didn't require a luxury... Hotel was undergoing repairs. Rooms were basic, airconditioned and spacious bathroom attached. All in all, you get what you paid for. Lifts were a bit dodgy, you need to switch lifts just to get to the 3rd floor! Breakfast was basic. Staff was helpful, even though some could not really communicate in English.

If you have the misfortune to have to spend a night in Livorno, then you could do a lot worse than this hotel. If you're driving, as we were, then it's easy to find and they offer secure garage parking (which we would strongly recommend). The staff were helpful, the room was clean and adequate. We had to catch an... More

Ariston is a super little hotel in the centre of Livorno. ILivorno is 15 minutes by train from Pisa, and a much more exciting place to visit than Pisa, for a real taste of Italy. The hotel is in an old building with a lot of real character and nice comfortable rooms. Air conditioned too.
