My husband and I stayed at la Vedetta Hotel for three nights in the occasion of my 60th birthday, and we really enjoyed it The location was really lovely, the room was spacious, great view of the see and Livorno, and good breakfast The only drawback was that the room was too dark, but all in all we were pleased

Overall this hotel was excellent and was perfect for our needs. It was recommended by our family in Livorno as a fun, different place to stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The view from the terrace is spectacular. We had a luncheon with about 12 family members and the food in the... More

We stayed one night before taking the ferry in July. It was very hard to find being up in the hills, so better directions are required. However the large family room was clean, the staff were courteous, the bathroom was large and the beds were quite comfortable. The breakfast was laid on especially early for us and it was very... We stayed two nights at La Vedetta. Montenero was a very sweet village, the nature and view was spectacular. The hotel and room were good, but the location is not the best without a car. However there is a funicular train down the hill where you can take a bus to Livorno. I would recommend La Vedetta for a night... More

We have stayed here twice on our way to and from Corsica and it was lovely. The staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful, it was so peaceful there. There was a lift to the upper floors. The restaurant served beautiful food at a reasonable price and they served breakfast for us especially an hour early so we could eat before... More

Hotel La Vedetta located on the hills facing the city of Florence is such a unique property. The location is ideal for a quiet and peaceful holiday. The staff are very helpful and friendly and in few days everyone knows everyone. It really feels home. As you arrive you are greeted with a glass of juice and some fruits. The... More

It's a nice enough place an old building, ministry house at one stage. But now turned into what should be a nice hotel, truth is it's in the middle of nowhere, a little village about 200 mt away with a couple of bars/restaurants and a couple of little fold out sheds selling religious articles, all very nice for one night... Thank you for your notification, excuse me but to respect people who will read your notification, we think need some clarifications. Our position is considered by many people, beautyfull for the panoramic view and because it represents a strategic location to go to the sea and to go around the Tuscany. Our little town call Montenero is a quiet area... More

Certainly finding this hotel was like geo-cacheing/ orienteering but once you struck the jackpot it was worth the effort. When you get to the centre in front of the famous church look for a small hotel sign attached to a wall near the church and go up a very narrow street to the hotel. We were never more than 500m... We had a room on the 3rd floor with a million dollar view of the sea, O just thinking about it makes me want to be there again. We loved it. Convenient to get to town with the funicular (little train). Loved Livorno and the Hotel. We took a taxi from the train station and he knew right where it... More

Well I had no difficulty at all in finding it - I got the hotel to send a taxi to meet me off the ferry! The hotel's on Montenero, which is a few miles outside central Livorno, but means there is a fabulous view. (I imagine in summer it also means it's slightly cooler, with a breeze.) The hotel building... More
